newt-escape from wicked-part 2

We were searching an old,abandoned building for any supplies that could be useful. I found some decent clothes and a backpack. Aris had wandered off somewhere, I didn't know where to but I knew he could take care of himself.

"Hey Y/n"

I turned around to see Newt , he smiled at me so I smiled back.

"I found this" he said handing me a water bottle.

"Thanks" I replied.

I put the bottle in my backback quickly and turned back to him.

"Well it's been a nightmare hasn't it?" He said.

"Yeah"

"Let's just hope these mountain people Tommy talks about are real"

"I think they are"

"Well I hope you're right"

We stood in silence for a couple of moments. It felt let hours had past eventhough it had only been a few minutes.

"Ok look I'm just gonna spit it out" he said " I know we haven't known eachother for very long but I really like you. I don't know what it is but I feel like we have a connection, like I've known you before so..."

I cut him off by putting my hand over his mouth.

"I know what you mean" I said " I feel it too"

"Guys come on" shouted Thomas.

"Let's go" I said grabbing his hand and pulling him away.
