Newt- Voices- part 2

I stumbled back in shock. Where did that voice come from?

"Who's there?" I asked.

But no one replied. That was strange. It couldn't have been one of the gladers because the voice sounded, feminine. Unless... no, she's in a coma she can't talk.

I was about to leave again, when the voice spoke again.

Newt please.

"Alright whoever's bloody playing with me it isn't funny!"

I left the hut and slammed the door behind me, marching back to my hut.

The next day, I was in a council meeting when the voice came again.

I know you're confused and scared but you have to trust me Newt. My memories are fading fast.

I bounced my leg anxiously, waiting for the meeting to end. As soon as it did, I got out of there as quickly as possible and ran into the deadheads.

Y/n that's my name, remember it.

"What do you want with me!" I held my head in my hands.

I love you.

Suddenly everything started to spin, and my consciousness slipped away.

"Newt!Newt!" Someone shook my awake.

I opened my eyes to see the girl shaking me. I instantly backed away.

"Get away from me! What do you want!"

"Newt, I'm scared" She said " I can't remember"

"How- how were you-"

"Talking to you?" She sat down next to  me "I don't know, I just can"

I forgot almost everything when I woke up.

"How do you do that?" I asked.

"I just focus on you, and speak to you in my head. Try it"

I did what she said, and focused on her.

Can you hear me?

Yes

"Woah, that's freaky" I said.

"There she is!" Alby marched towards us.

We both stood up and Y/n hid half behind me.

"Newt, what has she told you?"

"Nothing she can't remember" I said " But her name is Y/n"

"Right, well, take her somewhere safer than in the middle of the deadheads. The builders have made her a hut"

I walked her to her hut, very little conversation going on between us.

"Uh, do you remember any of the things you told me when you were in the coma?" I asked.

"Not really"

"It's just that you said, you loved me"

"Oh, well, um, I don't know why I said that, maybe I did" She said " I guess I'll see you later Newt"

"Bye"
