Newt- The Maze Trials- part 2

I crawled through the vents as fast as I could, but wasn't exactly easy considering there was only enough room for me to crawl on my hands and knees.

As soon as I reached the boys room, I kicked in the vent door and climbed out.

"Y/n what are you doing here?" Newt jumped from his bed.

"It's Harriet" I told him " She's gone, just like Alby"

"Oh bloody hell"

"So it's true" Minho said " They've started the maze trials"

"What do we do?" Gally asked.

"There isn't anything we can do" I shrugged " We're going in there weather we like it or not"

"Y/n" Newt pulled me aside so no one could listen " We're in different groups"

"I know"

"But that means- we won't be put in the same maze"

"I know"

"Y/n- I- I'll forget you, you'll forget me-"

"Newt" I cupped his face in my hands "I'll find you again I promise"

I heard a crash then Sonya appeared through the vent.

"Y/n you better get your arse back there now Jansons coming"

"Ok, I'll see you soon"

I headed back through the vents with Sonya but couldn't get rid of the thing Newt had said to me. We will forget eachother.

When we got to the vent to our room we both climbed back inside. But froze at the sight of Janson standing there.

"Look who decided to show up" He said "Black room, both of you"

"No!"I said " it was my fault, I told Sonya to come with me, she doesn't need to be punished I do"

"Y/n-" she started.

"No, it was my fault"

"Arlight whatever just take her to the black room"

I was thrown into the dreaded black room. It was kind of a cupboard like room and was pitch black, not even the faintest of light shone through. I was locked in and left, probably until lights out.

There was nothing to do but sit. It was extremely tedious but there was nothing to do in here.

I don't know how much time had went by, it felt like a few hours but I couldn't be sure. I was just sitting, fiddling with my shirt when I heard a knock on the door.

"Y/n!"

"Sonya?"

"Y/n, listen, it's after lights out, so I shouldn't even be here but they're taking Newt into the maze"

"What? No! They can't!"

"Y/n, theres a vent in there, I know you can't see but you can feel for it"

"What about you?"

"I'll be fine just go!"

I felt around the walls of the room until I met a metal door. Yanking it off the wall it hit the floor with a crash. Wasting no time, I clambered in and made my way through the vents until I found the entrance of the boys.

"Newt!"

"Y/n, you shouldn't be here"

"Newt, they're taking you"

"I know" He sighed " Sonya told me, she saw the files"

"But you can't leave me"

"I don't want to" He hugged me " it's going to be ok"

"No, I don't want you to go"

"Shit, he's coming now, Y/n you have to leave"

"No-"

"Y/n" He leaned down and kissed me softly " I love you, now please go"

I went back through the vents as fast as I could. Making my way back to the  girls room.

"Sonya I- what's going on?"

"Y/n I'm sorry" Rachel said "Sonya's gone"

I couldn't belive it, I had just lost my boyfriend and best friend.
