I finished making the hot drink and took it over to our room. Our house was pretty small. We didn't have a lot of money so we were basically living in a shed converted into a house.
Y/n lay in bed, shivering a little and pulling the blankets tighter around her. She was pretty much bed bound because of us waiting on our new arrival.
I went over and placed the cup beside her.
"You ok?" I asked her.
She nodded and sat up a little.
"Is baby?" I placed my hand on her baby bump.
"Kicking"
"I'm going to get another blanket"
I kissed her head and headed to go grab another blanket. When I returned, Y/n was doubled over, clutching her stomach and crunching her face like she was in pain.
"Hey what's wrong?"
"Uhhh it's coming"
"Oh god" I panicked " What do we do?"
"Get a nurse or something"
"Where?"
"Calm down"
"I can't"
"La- AH!"
"Jesus christ!"
Unfortunately, we had to home birth. Y/n did well for on her own, and we now have a beautiful baby boy. Of course, raising a child with little money will be hard, but we'll try our best to keep our little family together.
