Newt- Family isn't just blood

I quietly tiptoed out of my room and down the long, dark winding corridor. My torch in hand, pointed ahead to light my way. I did this often, and knew the way so perfectly, I could walk it blind.

As I made my way, sneaking through the blackness, I walked right into something. The momentum bounced me back, sending me to the floor and landing square on my bottom.

"Y/n, what are you doing?" Maggie scolded.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me up from the floor. I dusted my hands on my trousers and pointed my light to see her face.

"Sorry Maggie, I was just visiting-"

"A5 I know" She sighed " it doesn't take a genius to recognise when two kids can't keep away from eachother"

"You won't tell on me, will you?"

"No, just be careful you don't run into anyone else, because they won't let it go so easily"

"Thanks Maggie"

I started heading back down the corridor to his room. Once I got there, I used the card I had stolen a while ago to unlock the door and go inside.

Newt was sleeping peacefully in his bed. So I clambered in next to him, lying on his chest and wrapping my arms around his neck. He stirred a little, and moved his arms to hold me.

"Hi love" He said quietly.

"Hi"

He kissed my head and stroked little circles on my skin.

"Don't forget to leave in the morning"

"I won't, I promise"

"I love you, I missed you today"

"I love you too, and I missed you more"

"Do you want to- before we sleep?" He asked with a smirk.

"Ok, but just be quiet" I leaned down to kiss him.

One month later

I sat in my room, sitting on my bed and hugging my knees. My heart ached for him. I just wanted to hear his voice and feel his touch again.

The familiar click noise of my door being unlocked made me lie flat on my back and close my eyes. Someone walked in and put something on my bedside table.

"I know you're awake Y/n" Maggie said.

I sighed and opened my eyes, sitting up straight.

"I can't sleep without him"

"I figured that" She sat down on my bed and held a glass of water in front if me.

"It's got sleeping drugs in it" I pushed it away.

"You're a smart girl Y/n, too smart for your own good. Your father is worried about your lack of sleep, he wanted to give it too you"

"I want to be with him"

"Would it really be worth the sacrifice of losing your memories? Being put face to face with danger? For one boy?"

"To me it would, I would sacrifice everything, just to be with him again"
