This chapter is dedicated to Rashida who has been busy with school but still make time for this book,  barakallahu fiki, and best of luck on your studies, thank you for always being here.

"So laila I want you to know that you're matured enough to begin courtship, twenty one years of age isn't child's play, and the guy is from a well respected family, so we have agreed for you to go on with the relationship,

So fear Allah in all your endeavours, as you slways have, try hard to stay away from evil things, if your feelings are getting out of control let us know, you're ripe for marriage as well." Mum stated with all seriousness.

"But mummy I don't even know the person you are talking about. " I asked with a pout and a teary eyes, tears I didn't know I held in them.

"You will soon." Dad's voice chimed in, as he was pretending to focus on his newspaper.

My heart sank in my belly the moment I heard his voice, I thought he wasn't paying attention.

"As I have permitted him to come see you." He continued, ,"Just know that there's no man that'll ever love you like I do."

"Oh baban Laila, what's that again?" Mum asked with a sly frown.

"No it's true." He retorted.

"Okay just let her be."

I smiled at their tiny conversation and stood up to take my leave. "I love you too daddy." I quickly added before he think I was already in love.

"Good, best of luck in this new phase of your life."

"Thank you daddy. " I replied and left  for my room.

I sighed heavily with a confused thought, not knowing where everything will start from or even where it was going to.

But at that moment I was ready, ready to be a passenger on that ship that's sailing to a location unknown to me.

I really wanted to try the thing of the heart and see what it held.

I prayed two raka'at of salatul duha (sunnatic Nafilah that's only observed during the mid day, between the obligatory prayer fajr and zuhr) and asked Allah to bless the union I was about having and to guide me through it all, and keep shaitan away from us, as all that I seek is a halal and true loving.

...

In about an hour, I got six messages from a single contact on WhatsApp, that wasn't usual, I quickly checked.

I don't want to be the the only captain in this yatch, I believe 'two heads are better than one.'

Take my hand, let's go hand in hand, and side by side,

My heart kept pointing at you, like the big hand of a clock pointing at twelve.
