TW- R*PE

I say goodbye to Miranda, who had the pleasure of dropping me off since Ryder's car was still in the shop. She peels out of the wet gravel and honks twice before joining traffic, leaving me to twist on my heel and face the large building. The parking lot was packed, and I figure that was because it's a Monday.

I'm grateful that I'm dressed appropriately, wearing black skinny jeans and the navy blue GAP hoodie I finally got back from Ry. I wore my Fila's, in case there was snow, but sure enough, there wasn't. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed.

My legs carry me to the front door of the building and it's opened before I'm able to grab the handle. A man walks out, too busy on the phone to notice me as he shoves passed to get to his car. I press my lips together, snaking in the door and walking towards the hallway.

I look over my shoulder, seeing that Priscilla was still present. I wonder why Sharon was out for so long. I remembered my conversation with my mom yesterday morning, how she couldn't recall the woman. Since she was Harry's mom, I figured that maybe she wanted someone to give him a chance. But why lie about it? And why fight so hard for this?

My feet carry me to f17, where I notice the door is cracked open. It was strange since all the doors stayed closed. I give a close lipped smile to a woman who rushes down the hall, her heels clicking against the tile and her blonde hair covering her face as she looks down at her phone. Everyone here seemed to be so busy.

When she passes me, I bite the inside of my cheek and set my hand on the metal door, stopping when I hear a woman's voice. Her words sounded vague so I couldn't tell who it was.

It doesn't matter , Lo, just wait until they're done.

I step away from the door and scratch my cheek out of boredom as the thoughts from yesterday dance across my mind. The night of Mya's party had come back to me fully, and if anything, it bothered me more. I remembered what those boys did and how Styles reacted to it, almost like he was offended that I didn't want to call the cops.

"Harry, I get that, but the ball isn't in your court,"

It's Elizabeth, and her voice is louder and clearer, telling me that she's now standing closer the door.

"I don't have time to talk about this- I have a student coming."

"Look, if this is about the fit I threw-"

"It's not." he cuts her off sharply, I can picture his dark eyebrows furrowing in anger. The room goes quiet and my heart drops. Did they see me? They couldn't have with the way I'm standing. The back of my head lifted from the wall and I uncrossed my arms, staring at the crack in the door. I could only see a book shelf.

My eyes travel to the frosted glass door, my bottom lip entrapped in my teeth as I wait for them to speak. Then, they do. "Whatever, we're still on for tonight, right?"

"Sure."

"Alright, love you. I gotta go pick Liyah up anyway." She says as I hear the sound of keys shuffling. I clear my throat and straighten out my shoulders, rolling them back and fixing my posture.

The door swings all the way open and I'm greeted with Elizabeth, her face falls at the sight of me and she rolls her eyes.

I give small smile, sarcastic smile to avoid returning the gesture, but she only ignores me and begins down the hallway. I watch the back of her head as her heels click against the tile floor and she makes her way down the hallway, one hand in the pocket of her trench coat and the other hand holding her CHANEL bag.
