Ramon ^

We were five minutes away from the building when Priscilla herself called me to tell me Harry had cancelled our lessons. This upset me, I didn't understand how much longer he needed me to wait. I have twenty missed text messages from Ryder and even more calls. This coupled with being stuck in the car with Ramon as he blasted his music with his windows down ( despite it being literal fucking winter ). Since I couldn't go to the study, Ramon suggested we get Chinese. I knew I told my self I'd forgiven him, but it felt too soon so get back to how we were before. It wasn't until he offered to pay that I gave in.

"Their Lo Mein doesn't usually taste like ass, I don't know who they have back there cooking." Ramon grunts as he stabs his fork into the noodles and twirl. Since the buffet was packed, we agreed on eating in his car in the parking lot. "It tastes good to me" I mumble through a mouth full of the greasy food.

"Hm." He hums knowingly, still eating the food he just criticized. The car is quiet for a few moments before he breaks the dull silence. "So what's going on with Ry? We both know he only works afternoon shifts at the clinic." His brown eyes meet mine and I continue on the Lo Mein. Like I said, he's quick to put 2 and 2 together. Maybe quicker than I thought.

"It's a long story." I sigh.

"Well, we don't have anywhere to be."

And he's right. I glance out of the window upon seeing the man in the black Toyota next to us get out.

"I found out that he's...associated with this frat on campus. ChiPhi."

At this, Ramon chokes on his noodles, his eyes growing large and his brows sitting low on his face in confusion. I manage to let out a dry chuckle without opening my mouth. I'd had the same reaction, but it didn't seem so crazy now.

"Ryder? The twink?"

"That one." I ignore his comment and clear my throat, digging in the browned paper bag for my egg roll. The Lo Mein was beginning to fill me up and I wanted to have space for the snack.

"What the hell is he doing in a frat? And how do you know?" Ramon takes the one eggroll I handed to him and I take a bite into the other one.

"I just know." I decide to not tell him about Styles. "I also know that their initiations are...weird. And I dunno..."

"You think Ryder's gonna get caught up in that?" He nods, completing my conflicted sentence.

"Yeah."

"Damn, so what, you're not talking to him because of it?"

"Well, not really. I just wanna figure out what's going on." I admit truthfully. Ramon nods again as he scratches the stray hairs on his chin.

"Why don't you just ask him? Be straight up." He finally points. I shake my head no. "He's not gonna tell me, plus I don't know if he's already initiated or what." It wasn't until then that I begin to doubt both myself and Harry. What if we really just took this and ran with it?

"No, we can-" Ramon is cut off by the vibration of his phone in the center console. By the look of bewilderment on his face, I can tell he wasn't expecting a call. My mind immediately goes to Audrey and I look out the windshield at the car parked in front of us, imagining having my own.

"Hey man," Ramon's voice is uneasy, catching my attention as I glance at him from the corner of my eye. He's talking to Ryder.

"Um, yeah she's with me." My brows furrow and my lip twitches up and shock as I mouth for Ramon to shut the fuck up, silently sliding my hand across my body. He looks at me nervously. "She can't talk right now, she's...peeing. But, we'll be there...okay, alright, bye." Ramon pulls the iphone away from his ear and winces as I yell, "What the fuck is wrong with you!?"
