Chapter 3

It's been two days since Valt was absent from school according to Iris whose boyfriend is a classmate of Valt

As Avyrain was heading home from school she decided to visit him at the convenience store

The person working there told her that he already quit the job two days ago

"Isn't that the day after I started spouting nonsense to him?, did he also not go to school because of that?" Avyrain mumbled to herself

Avyrain started to get worried of his circumstances

"Why didn't the author wrote Valt's address in the story?!" she stated with annoyance

As she got out of the convenience store, she suddenly encountered Kaleid

Avyrain paid him no mind and just walked past him

"Hey, have you not seen me?" Kaleid said calling out to her

Avyrain turned to him as she said "So what if I did see you?"

"Are you mad at me?" he asked

‘Yes that's right and I totally hate how you can easily acquire happiness without much effort just because you're the male lead’ she thought to herself

"Not really, is that all?" she nonchalantly replied

"I'm going to buy some ice cream, do you want some?" he asked

"Your treat?" Avyrain asked

"Yeah" Kaleid casually replied

"Alright, I'm actually craving for it now but I forgot my wallet at home" she stated as she entered back at the convenience store

"What flavor do you like?" Kaleid asked

"Vanilla" Avyrain replied

They ate ice cream as they walked back home together

Astrid who was waiting outside Kaleid's house spotted them and she immediately approached them

"You should have called me that you two were eating ice cream, I want one too" Astrid pouted

"Well then, I'll be going inside now" Avyrain stated as she walked to her house

"Wait, do you want to play games with us?" Kaleid asked

Avyrain looked back at them as she said "I'm not interested"

She then walked inside the house leaving the two of them outside

"Why did you invite her?" Astrid asked as she started to feel anxious

"What's wrong with inviting a neighbor?, you should be friends with her too" Kaleid replied

"So you mean nothing more than just being friends with her?" Astrid asked

"What kind of imaginations do you have?" Kaleid chuckled

Astrid then cheerfully clung into his arms as she pulled him inside his house

Meanwhile, At Avyrain's room

"I don't really care about Astrid's feelings but if she kept spotting me with Kaleid, her overly dramatic self might get turned on" Avyrain uttered to herself

"Then she would start crying, then it's possible she might personally encounter Valt earlier than planned!" she exclaimed as a sudden realization hit her

Avyrain immediately thought of various solutions then she suddenly decided as she sighed "I have no choice but to convince Astrid to confess to Kaleid"
