Chapter 8

The next day, Avyrain woke up early and properly groomed herself

After a while, her mom suddenly called out to her

"Avy, someone's waiting for you outside" her mom stated

Avyrain immediately walked out of her room

"He comes with an expensive looking car" her mom whispered to Avyrain as she got out

As she got out, Avyrain had mixed feelings seeing Valt arriving grandiosely in a simple neighborhood

"Well ma'am, I'll be taking your precious daughter away" Valt stated with a wink

"Oh my, don't mind me and have fun both of you" Avyrain's mom replied with a chuckle

Valt smiled then opened the car door for Avyrain

Avyrain got inside then Valt drove away

"What are we going to do today?" Avyrain asked

"We're going to an aquarium and then the planetarium" Valt replied

"Sounds like fun" Avyrain casually stated

Valt cleared his throat as he said "You look cute today"

Avyrain was surprised as she looked at Valt

"Uhh I didn't mean you're not, you look cute everyday but you look especially adorable today" Valt stated

Avyrain laughed as she said "I get it, you act as if you're not used to complimenting girls"

"Uhh yeah, I looked uncool aren't I?" Valt uttered with a sigh

"Not at all, that part of you is kind of cute in a way" Avyrain responded with a smile

Valt grinned as he felt a tingling sensation inside him

They arrived at an aquarium and Avyrain enjoyed watching the sea animals swimming around

Afterwards, they were entertained by a dolphin show and Avyrain had fun watching it

Avyrain was engrossed in watching the wonders in the aquarium that she didn't realize that Valt kept stealing glances towards her whenever her eyes glows up with enjoyment

Just then, they suddenly passed by a souvenir shop in the aquarium

Valt bought a cute dolphin key chain and gave it to Avyrain

"This is for me?" Avyrain asked

Valt nodded his head in response as he said "I think it suits you"

Avyrain smiled then bought a shark key chain and gave it to Valt in return

"Since you bought me one, I figured I should give you too" Avyrain stated with a smile

Seeing Avyrain's bright smile, Valt's heart skipped a beat and a gentle smile crept up on his face

Afterwards, they have lunch at a restaurant reserved by Valt himself

"Does the food suit your taste?" Valt asked

"It's delicious but just as I thought Valt's cooking is more amazing" Avyrain replied

Valt cleared his throat as he asked "Do you like my cooking that much?"

"Of course, how did you even learn to cook?" Avyrain curiously asked

"I live with my sickly mother abroad during middle school, so I ended up cooking our daily meals and I have also worked part time before at a restaurant during weekends" Valt replied
