*Josephine's POV*
Another day, of school. I woke up and felt relaxed. I didn't feel like this since forever. I got up and went to my closet to find clothes to wear. I finally decided on my clothes and applied some makeup on my face but not too much.
After a few minutes, I was ready. I went downstairs and saw mom preparing our breakfast and dad sitting at the table looking at the newspaper. "Good morning!" Dad smiled at me. "Morning."
I sat and had some bread on my plate. "Did you sleep well?" Mom asked, while putting some pancakes on the table. "Yes, really well!" I laughed as I got three pancakes from the plate she put on the table.
Cherry hugged me from behind and said, "Good morning, Jo!" I sighed. "Good morning, Cherry." She sat next to me and got a pancake as well.
We ate our breakfast and I looked at the clock. "Gosh, we should get going." I patted Cherry and she got up finishing her breakfast. I ate the last pancake left on my plate and quickly went to grab my bag. Before we left, I kissed Dad on the cheek. "Bye."
He laughed softly. "Goodbye sweetheart!" We went to school and it was 15 minutes before classes started. Cherry left me when we got there because she needed to go to the library for a project.
I got my books from my locker and went to my classroom. I busied myself by looking at my notes while I waited for the lesson to start.

The lessons were finished. I was walking down the hallway when I saw Two-Bit. He grinned when he realized it was me. "Hey, Two!"
"Hi, Jo. How's it goin'?" I saw other people looking at us with a disgust look on their face but I ignored them. "Good, I guess. Where are you going?"
"I was heading to Pony's house. You wanna come with me?" I thought. I hope Cherry won't be mad at me for ditching her and also hanging out with them. Then I thought, them being greasers doesn't mean that I should act distant towards them because they were good-hearted people. I knew it. "Yeah, why not?" His grin got bigger when I said that.
"Okay come with me!" We were talking about random stuff and he knew what to joke about. He had a good sense of humor. Almost every word that comes out from his mouth was a joke but it wasn't making me feel bored and it didn't annoy me anyway.
We made it to the house. "Let's get goin'!" He opened the door and there were Pony and Johnny. Pony was reading a book and Johnny was just sitting. I waved at them and they said hi.
"How are you guys?" Ponyboy looked up from his homework and smiled. "Doing okay. How 'bout you?"
"Hmm... Good!" I sat next to Johnny. "I need to do my homework. I have math and physics ughh..." I said, as I whined like a teenage girl. Classic. Johnny laughed lightly. "I might help if you need help." he said.
"Well, thank you for being thoughtful! But I don't want to annoy you with some formulas and a bunch of numbers." He smiled and went to the kitchen. He was more comfortable around me since the night at the drive-in, which made me feel happy.
"I'm not doing anythin' other than watching Mickey, so enjoy studying Josephine." He turned on the TV as I sticked my tongue out at him. He snickered and looked at the screen.
I huffed and started to read the questions. I felt the couch sink next to me. It was Johnny. "I got you a drink."
"Thanks." I opened the lid and gulped the soda down but didn't finish all of it. I continued on doing my homework. After some time, what felt like hours, the door creaked open. I looked up to see three boys coming inside and I definitely knew one of them: it was Dallas. "Hi buddies!" Two-Bit shouted as he quickly turned to the TV not to miss the Mickey Mouse.

Fanfic"Judge me and I'll prove you wrong." Could a greaser as reckless as Dallas and soc as spontaneous as Josephine get along? All rights to the author of the book "The Outsiders", S.E. Hinton. I don't own anything from her story.
