Chapter 4
I groaned and checked the aisles again. I was looking for a devil costume but I couldn't find one. I didn't want a 'sexy devil,' I wanted a normal, scary devil. Matt, Mason, and I were all going to be different variations of devils. I was going to be a vampire devil and Liz, and Chris were going to be angels. I was currently looking for some fake blood, but there wasn't any. I grabbed the rest of my costume, paid, and walked out. I had a few hours before I had to go to Will's match so I decided to go to Chris's house to talk to him about why he had been crying yesterday. I hoped it wasn't too bad, because Chris was my first friend here, I couldn't have anything bad happen to him, I wouldn't be able to take it. I drove over to Chris's and walked into his house. I waved to Mrs. Cipriano, who was baking something in the kitchen and to Mr. Cipriano, who was watching football on the TV. I walked up to Chris's room and saw him laying on his bed, his phone in his hands.
"Hey Chris," I said quietly. He jumped, then calmed himself down.
"Hi Rayna," he said.
"How're you holding up?" I asked.
"I'm okay. How's your foot?" he asked.
"It feels much better," I said.
We were both being awkward, and there was tension in the air.
"What happened yesterday?" I asked.
"There's something I need to tell you," he said.I hoped it was good.
"Is it good?" I asked.
"Depends on how you look at it," he replied.
"What is it?" I asked, after mentally preparing myself for anything that could happen.
"I'm gay," Chris said, after taking a few deep breaths.
"I've always wanted a gay best friend," I said and hugged him.
"You won't stop being my friend?" Chris said, so quiet it was almost inaudible.
"What? Of course not, Chris! Christopher Marco Cipriano, you are my best friend and being gay will never change anything. Except for the fact that I might take you shopping a lot more," I said.
"I was so scared. I thought you weren't going to like me anymore," Chris said.
"You will always being my best friend. And now that we've got that cleared, do you have a little something for Asher?" I asked and wiggled my eyebrows.
"What? No! Maybe. Yes," Chris confessed.
I squealed and hugged him again.
"Wait, who knows?" I asked.
"Only you," he said.
"Well you've gotta tell everybody!" I said excitedly.
"Yeah but it's gonna take a while. I can't just walk up to them and say 'hey I'm gay. You cool with that?' and walk away," Chris started, "And I think I've done enough confessing for today," Chris said.
We sat on his bed and talked for a while longer before I realized I needed to leave, to make it to Will's match on time.
"Hey I was going to go to Will's match, but I could cancel on him and stay with you?" I offered.
"No I'll be fine," he said.
"I'll be back here after dinner, okay?" I said.
"You're going out to dinner with him? On a date? And you didn't tell me?" Chris cried.
"Well I didn't think it would affect you too much. And it's not a date, we're just going out as friends," I defended.
"Well now I have to go all daddy on him and make him promise not to hurt you and to have you back by 11," Chris said.
"You sound like my dad," I said.
"That was kind of the point," Chris answered.
"Whatever, I have to leave, see you, bye!" I called and ran out of his room and out of his house.
I drove home and looked at my closet. I chose out a pair of skinny jeans, a flannel that said idiot on the back, and some combat boots. I grabbed my phone and keys and ran to my car. The match would've already started so I drove as fast as I could without getting a ticket. Once I got there, I walked into there and saw that the match had already started. Will was winning so far, he had a few cuts on his face, and a few bruises but nothing major that I could tell. The other guy only had a few bruises, no blood. I was a little worried, because the other guy didn't have a single speck of blood on him, aside from the drops on his gloves. Will got in a good punch on his temple but the guy didn't go down. I saw Will look towards the door then in my direction. He smiled and lost his focus, and Will gets a punch to the face. I gasp in surprise and Will turns back to the other man. They were pretty equally matched, neither one is going down. Both of them looked like they're losing energy and then, finally, the first round is over. I run over to the side of the ring, and inspect Will's face.
"Hey, you okay?" I ask worriedly.
"Yeah, yeah fine. I just haven't been training as hard as I thought I was. I'll be fine though," he assures me.
"Okay, be careful though. The guy looks really tough," I told Will.
I gave him a quick hug, being careful not to get sweat or blood on me and walked back to where I was standing. The rest of the match went smoother, Will gaining some extra energy and beating the other guy to a pulp. After announcing Will won, he walked down, took a drink of water and walked over to me.
"You did awesome," I complimented him. He smiled at me, a smile with his teeth showing.
"Thank you. I usually get told that I should quit and stop hurting myself," Will said to me.
"If you love boxing then I don't see a reason as to why you should quit," I said.
We walked over to the bar and he got a coke, not a beer, which was weird but I didn't care."I'll be right back. I'm gonna go clean the cuts," Will said, once we had finished our drinks.
"I can clean them up, if you want," I offered.
"Thanks," Will replied and led me to the back room, where I had cleaned up Sam's cuts. I started cleaning Will's cuts and every now and then, he would let out a hiss, or a groan to which I would apologize.
"Thank you," Will said again.
"It's fine," I said.
"No, really, thank you for coming and not telling me to quit and for cleaning up my cuts," Will said.
"Of course. Anytime," I said, "Liz is having a halloween party, would you like to come?" I asked.
"Yeah sure. I'd rather that than getting so drunk I wouldn't be able to move the next day," Will said.
"Okay cool. What are you gonna be?" I asked curiously.
"I'm not sure yet, but I usually don't do costumes," Will said.
"You have to get a costume! It's the best part about Halloween! The one day of the year, when you can be anything you could possibly imagine and no one will judge you," I protested.
"Well when you put it like that, it sounds more appealing. But everyone dresses up like a football player or sexy nurse, policewoman or maid, and I'm not really into that," Will said.
"I'm not being a sexy anything. I'm going to be a normal devil, not a sexy one. You can be an angel!" I exclaimed.
"No way! I would never agree to that!" Will said.
"What if I bought dinner?" I asked.
"Fine, you've got yourself a deal," Will said.
"So dinner?" I asked.
"Dinner," He said.

4th chappie, done! Yay. I really like Will's personality, even though it has the most of me in it, I like how it's an improved version of me. Who's your favorite character so far?
