The snow had finally melted and it had been about four months since I had left the Survey Corps initially. I learned a lot but I also missed my friends a lot, I wrote to Armin after the hiking trip and told him that I had some information. I was worried about putting it in a letter because I wasn't sure who would read it, I couldn't risk Lance's secret getting out. 

Since that night, Lance and I got even closer and I learned a lot about Marley and the different titans. I learned that there were nine different shifters and he told me the names of them. Eren apparently had the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan, neither of us were completely sure how he had both. We tossed around ideas but we needed some more information.

About a month ago I celebrated my birthday, which was fun. My friends sang me Happy Birthday, and we sat around the fire and celebrated. It was the first birthday I had celebrated in years, it was so fun. I got birthday letters from Connie, Sasha, Historia, and Mikasa. However, I was a little disappointed because I hadn't gotten a single letter from Jean but I guess he wasn't the letter-writing kind of guy.

"Did you all see Marcus on the ODM today?" Sebastian laughed as we walked, it was a sunny day outside but it was getting colder. I had met up with my friends after they finished ODM training for the day. They had been out in the woods and we were now heading over to the gear house so they could put their gear away. I laughed as Lance and Sebastian recounted the story, "he was a total clutz, I am sure  Sadies is going to give him the boot any day," Lance laughed, Kyla shook her head, "Sebastian, Lance, don't be mean, Marcus just needs a little help. Jenny! Maybe you could tutor him?" I shook my head, "no way, look, I love you all but I need to study up so I can pass the written exams and get out of here" I crossed my arms as they all removed their gear. 

"Oh come on Jenny, you don't have to pass these exams now, you should spend more time with us before you go back," Lexi said, I sighed and looked out the window, "hey do you mind helping me with this though?" Lexi asked, I nodded and walked over to help her out of her gear, she wasn't the best at taking it on and off, "okay, but you're going to have to figure out how to do it yourself at some point you know" I told her, Lexi laughed, "yeah but you looked bored over there" I smirked and helped her out. We heard a stampede of horses outside the gear house.

"The 106th must be back from their horse training," Sebastian pointed out, I nodded. As soon as everyone's gear was stowed away we headed out to lunch. There were a lot more horses than normal, it was interesting. We headed inside the mess hall where everyone seemed a buzz, something exciting must be happening. 

"Did you get to see them?" I heard a cadet ask, "yeah, they looked awesome," the other one answered, "I can't wait to be one soon" I shook my head and followed my friends to our normal table.

"I wonder what's got everyone so riled up?" Lexi asked, I shook my head, Kyla spoke up, "beats me" we sat down and started eating our lunch, there were a bunch of cadets surrounding the window. We figured someone would tell us what was happening eventually but for now, it wasn't exactly our business.

"Did you guys hear?" Mary Anne, one of the youngest cadets came over and sat down next to Lance, honestly, she had a very obvious crush on him. I shook my head at her and took a sip of my water, "the scouts are here! they're visiting us!" I almost spit out the water that I had drunk, my eyes went wide. I gulped down the water that I had, put the cup down, and ran out the door. 

"Jenny!" I heard Lance call behind me, I ignored him and my other friends who were also yelling. I ran around looking for the scouts but I couldn't find them anywhere. I ran around the entire base and didn't see them. Then I saw Sasha coming out of the Commandant's barracks, her brown ponytail and the wings on her back made her stand out. I felt my eyes start to tear up and I ran over to Sasha.
