Chapter 58

It's so early in the morning, around 5:30 am. The sun is still not out and it's dark & chilly outside.

Trevor still hasn't told me anything about, where we're going but, at this point...

I trust him with my life.

I opened my mouth wide to yawn. I'm still sleepy and Trevor turned to grin at me.

"Go on & sleep. I'll wake you up when, we're there." He suggested.

"Okay." And with that, I turned to face towards the window, as I wrapped a thin blanket around me. And within a few minutes, I was already deep into my slumber.

I hope wherever we're going,
he stays by my side.

"Hey, Vanessa.", I heard a faint voice, as somebody shook me.

I stirred in my sleep and turned to the other side.

"Vanessa wake up." This time, the voice was clearer and louder and I was shaken harshly. I slowly opened my eyes with a groan, only to see Trevor smiling sweetly.

I stretched my arms like a baby and heard him chuckle. I rubbed my eyes slowly and asked him.

"Are we their yet?"

"Yes." He says and points out the window.

I turn to look outside, with droopy eyes and,

For a second I forgot to breathe.

Home?

I turned to look at Trevor immediately and he held, a understanding look in his eyes. My eyes filled with tears as, I looked around.

This can't be.
He brought me home.

My hands trembled as I tears fell from my eyes and Trevor brought out his hand to hold them.

"I had to visit mom & dad here. And thought to bring you back too. I hope you're not upset with me?" He said, leaning his head to look at me with, a concerned look on his face.

I shook my head violently and wiped away the tears with the palm of my hands. "Thank you." I murmured softly and returned me a smile.

He got off the car and jogged his way to my side to open the door. I stepped out and turned to close the door when, I suddenly saw someone on the opposite side of it.

Kevin.

I ran my way to the front of the house and hugged him tightly. Crying like crazy.
He embraced me tightly and kissed the top of my head, rubbing soothing circles around my back.

"Hey best girl." He whispered and I couldn't control anymore as, I cried even loudly. I had an idea that, he was crying too.

After a few minutes I released him and looked upto to see his face.
"Where's Tamara?" I asked sniffling.

"She's back home. Don't worry I'll take you their too." He smiled at me, wiping away his tear. He looked behind me and I turned to see Trevor smiling at us sweetly. He gave him a nod and spoke.

"I appreciate it doctor."

"Trevor." He said, with a slight nod.

"Trevor." Kevin repeated with a nod and dug his hands into his pocket to shuffle out the keys. Which I gave him, to keep before going to Houston.

"Their you go." He said, keeping them into my hand and kissing my forehead.

I nodded with a sad smile and he went ahead to shake hands with Trevor. Both of them said something which was inaudible to my ears. Kevin then turned to wave at me, with a 'see you soon'.
