Part 87 - A new star is born

Over the next two nights Adrien noticed, that Marinette didn't sleep very well. And as much as he wished for her to become a famous and successful designer, as she had been dreaming for most of her life, the fashion week being later than they had expected, when she had started to work with his dad, made it even harder.

If her clothes had just been shown in a regular show in December, she wouldn't have been so far into her pregnancy and wouldn't have had so many smaller problems.

Like her back seemed to be constantly sore and she had problems sitting, because her coccyx was aching in almost every position. Not even mentioning stuff like heartburn, and being floated.

But at least until two days ago, she had been able to sleep through the nights. But since then she woke up almost every other hour, sometimes to reposition, sometimes waddling to the toilet and back, to then drop back onto the mattress groaning.

She didn't complain though and the model knew, that she thought, he wouldn't notice, but he did. So when the final day of this fashion week dawned, he sighed in relief, knowing, that tomorrow morning they would be on a plane back to Europe. Sadly he wouldn't be able to stay at her side, because he had to directly get to London and a week later to Milan to model not only his father's but as well his wife's designs at the fashion weeks in these cities.

Only after those two weeks he was to stay back in Paris with her. Luckily the winter vacations were about to start, so neither of them would miss much off their classes due to that and Marinette would maybe be able to accompany her husband to those cities, before the Grand Finale in Paris.

But now the big day was finally here and they were all really excited. Marinette had been checking on Adrien's outfits for the fifth time now, while they were waiting in the back of the catwalk for his entrance. Then they heard Audrey's voice coming over the speakers.

"Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen to the Grand Finale of the New York Fashion Week 2018! I hope you all enjoyed it so far, because now, we are going to give you the highlight, the newcomer you have all been waiting for. All of tonight's dresses are created after the prototype of a young woman, whose original designs will be brought to you by none other than the one and only Adrien Agreste!"

And then she left the stage to make room for the young model.

The audience cheered and whistled towards the young man, as much as they did for each and every dress that was shown.

Eventually the show was about to come to an end, when it was Adrien's turn again and he was now wearing Marinette's chosen highlight, similar to the derby hat with the feather, yet without a hat but rather a black leather jacket and the feathers were attached to the sleeves and the back, just as if they were wings. As a shiny contrast he was wearing blue satin pants and black shiny boots. Underneath his jacket, he had a grey, sleeveless shirt with blue buttons, that was longer on one side and hung loose over his pants.

After he finished and returned to the stage from where the catwalk went in between the audience, and Audrey handed him the microphone.

"Thank you all", he said to the screaming people. "Now I would like to introduce you to the young woman, who is responsible for this clothes line, and who I love deeply. Say hello to my wife, Mrs. Marinette Agreste! Come up here, please, princess."

He smiled at his wife who looked utterly shocked. Not only by his invitation for her to come to the stage, but also still from Audrey's first announcement, that the complete line was made after her designs. And now everybody knew, that they had gotten married. Emily and Gabriel had to nudge her towards the stage, where the designer grabbed ehr arm to support her, while ascending the few stairs. Emily returned to her seat in the meantime to be greeted by Nathalie who smiled at her happily, as she sat down next to her.
