"Orochimaru?!" Naruto exclaimed, his hands in the air. "No! No way! He disappeared years ago! Believe it! No one saw him in..."

The silence that came after that seemed like a knife in the stomach. I felt guilty, like I was the reason fear was there between us, because I said that name... I looked at all of them and I tried to say something positive, but nothing came to my mind. Nothing. The thought of Orochimaru was... just awful!

"I think more than five years... He didn't even show his face during the attack from the Exams..." Kakashi said, seriously.

I looked down. I heard Naruto's fast breathing and I understood he was angry.

"This means that... Ori could be right!" Sakura whispered.

Kakashi shrugged. "Yeah, could be. It makes sense. But let's not jump to conclusions so fast. If other Sound Ninja attack us and... I don't know, if snakes attack us all of a sudden, then... we can worry about Orochimaru."

Sasuke rolled his eyes. "I'd like to kill him this time. He's such a coward, anyway!"

My back got covered in thrills. Kakashi saw my face, which was tense, and placed his right hand on my shoulder.

"Orinai, even if we'll have to deal with Orochimaru in order to get your parents, we'll succeed. We can always call for backup!"

"Well, we should send a message to the Hokage right now! I mean, Sound Ninja? The coincidence is..." Sakura said, her eyes scared. "If he's behind this... we can't defeat Orochimaru by ourselves and you know that, Kakashi-sensei!"

He didn't move his hand. He pressed his fingers on my shoulder and nodded towards Sakura. He was really calm. Of course he was... only I could notice the emotions on his face and they usually lasted for one second. I hated that!

"Yes, I know!" he mumbled. "That's why I'll send one of my dogs with a message. That should do."

"And the dog can track us down and bring the backup team!" I smiled at Kakashi. "Great!"

He put his hand away.

"Let's do it, then..." he sighed, putting his hands together. He quickly formed five jutsu signs and hit the ground with his palm. "Summoning jutsu!"

Dust lifted a little and all four of us jumped aside. I caught Sakura's hand when we stopped and she bumped into Naruto - Sasuke sighed when we stumbled. We all popped our eyes, watching Kakashi standing and looking down. At a little puppy, dressed really weirdly... I recognized him. Pakkun.

"Kakashi... Why did you summon me? You know how important naps are!" Pakkun barked, pecking Kakashi's pants with his paw.

He laughed, kneeling next to the dog. Me, Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura watched Kakashi talking to Pakkun. I listened to them, amazed. Every time he talked to that... small creature... he seemed nuts. It was a bit funny, actually! He looked cute as he was gesticulating towards Pakkun, telling him exactly what he should say to The Third.
