16)Jealousy

Mina's P.O.V

I had started my last year at Seoul University. Things had changed. I had tried to keep my friendship with Min Ji, but she treated she like a stranger. I recalled a time when we were both walking down the hall in opposite directions. I had stopped to say hi, but she continued walking as if she hadn't seen me. I tried to understand her, but when I thought of Leo hugging her, my blood boiled a little. However, it would be nice to have her walking with me in these lonely halls. I was immersed in my thoughts when I felt two hands on my shoulders.

"Mina!" I heard a familiar male voice.

I turned around and saw N.

"Hak Yeon? What are you doing here?" I asked surprised.

"It's nice to see you too. Have you been well? Have you eaten?" He said annoyingly.

"It's not that I don't want you here, it's just what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I never finished my last year of college because of our debut and busy schedules. My president pulled a couple strings and here I am as a music major." He said.

"Oh my goodness! Does that mean we have the same classes?" I asked grabbing his schedule out of his hand to confirm the good news.

"Yomp" he said popping the p at the end and grabbing his schedule back.

"Yay! I won't be lonely anymore!" I leaped for joy and hugged him but quickly let go.

"Why lonely? Don't you have Min Ji?" He asked.

"Hmmm.... it hasn't been the same since that incident." I said looking gloomy.

"What incident?" He asked.

~10 minute time skip while she explains what happened~

"And ever since then she doesn't even glance at me." I said and pouted a little.

"To get your mind off of her, how about we go get a hamburger at my place?" He said pointing in a random direction.

"You're cutting class on your first day?" I asked.

"It's on the house." N said completely ignoring my concern.

"Fine then." I said in defeat.

N's P.O.V

I felt uneasy after Mina told me what had happened. I remembered the first night I had met her and how everyone had fallen asleep. I also remember Leo and Min Ji's conversation.

~flashback~

I had awoken with the plan to get a cup of water. I was getting up when I heard two people arguing. It was Leo and Min Ji.
"Why her? Why not me?" I heard Min Ji say. What a friend, airway trying to take her friend's boyfriend on the first day.
"I may have only met her last night, but let me tell you that she gave a better first impression than you did." Leo said cooly.
She ran out. I waited till Leo fell asleep to get up and get a cup of water. Interesting.

~end of flashback~

It hadn't just been that, I had seen them at the café as well. Was Leo meeting Min Ji secretly? It couldn't be. I'll ask him latter.

~time skip~

Leo's P.O.V

I got home after practice and for once my mother was home.

"Leo, come to my office after dinner." She said and went back into her office. I quickly ate dinner after washing up and I headed over to her office.

"What is it mother." I said as I closed the door behind her.

"Come. Take a seat." She said and I did what I was told. "I just have a couple questions regarding Mina." She said surprisingly.

"Mina? What about her?" I asked.

"It's just I don't think she's suited for you at all." She began saying. "How about Oh Min Ji? You know who she is. You guys were practically raised together."

"Mother, I'll pretend I didn't hear that." I said as I got up from my seat and started walking out.

"At least Min Ji doesn't throw herself around." She said as she threw what looked like pictures on her desk and took a sip from her brandy.

"What do you mean? Mina isn't like that." I justified.

"See for yourself." She said signaling the pictures on her desk.

The first one I had seen for myself. It was when N hyung had his arm around Mina.

But the rest?

There was one where Mina was hugging N hyung at what seemed to be her school. There was another where they were eating at N hyungs restaurant.

How could they do this to me? But Mina isn't like this. It must have been staged. I ran out to ask her myself.

I was running down her street when I saw her walking nonchalantly with N.

"What are you doing here?!" I yelled.

"I took Mina to eat-" he said but was interupted by my fist.

"Leo!" Mina screamed.

"What? Now you're defending him? I bet you wished he was the one you were engaged to." I said harshly.

"What are you talking about?" She said as tears began running down her cheek.

I grabbed her hand, cold as always, and began dragging her somewhere else so we could talk but she ripped it out of my grip.

"What's gotten into you?" She said with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Oh what's gotten into me? I thought you were different but my mom was right. If you were gonna cheat on me, you sound have done it with someone other than N." I said painfully.

"Cheat on you with me?" N said with a smirk while wiping off the blood from the corner of his lip. He walked up to me and punched me right back. "What am I? Crazy and that was for punching me? If you would have let her explain, you wouldn't have gotten punched right now." He said as he helped me off the floor and helped me onto the couch inside Mina's house.

They explained everything. God was I an idiot. I couldn't even look at Mina. N left to the bathroom so that we could talk.

"Baby, I'm so sorry. But just the thought of you with another man really made my blood boil." I tried to apologize.

"It's fine, but I really didn't know you had this side to you Jung Taek Woon. Maybe I should reconsider marrying you." She said jokingly.

"Babe! Come here." I said pulling her from the waist towards me and gave those soft, pink lips a feel with mine.

"So, you're not gonna hit me anymore?" N said interupting our kiss.

"I really want to right now." I said earning a giggle from Mina. At least now I knew what kind of person my mom was.
