"All of this is yours." My mother said.
"M-mine? How? Did you guys win the lottery?" I started laughing thinking all this was a bad joke.
"Before you and your brother were born, your mother and I decided that we would raise you just like we were. When we were your age, we weren't well off. We worked days and nights to pay for our tuition so that we could give you guys something better than what we had. Thankfully while in college, I saved one of my friend's life and he helped me raise this company from scratch. And over the years it doubled, quadripled, and eventually we ended up with this multi million corporation, Hani Corporations. We couldn't see you guys rot in luxury, so we decided to raise you with a little obstacles so that you guys would have morals and take nothing for granted before taking over." My father explained.
"You're joking right?" I said with a smile thinking they were doing candid camera on me.
"No we're not. But before taking over we're going to need you to do something." My mother added.
"Wait, you're not serious about me taking over right? I'm a music major, that literally has nothing to do with this company." I said worridly.
"Well you're not taking over immediately, a wedding like this does take time to plan, and you could continue with your music studies when your husband who has been raised within this whole type of business takes over for you." My mom said as if telling me to do the dishes.
"Wedding?! Husband?! B-but I'm not even dating, much less thinking about marriage." I said almost yelling.
"We did want to raise you right, so we know this goes against your morals. However I can't see my work come to an end just like this. 50,000 employees and their families depend on us now. I can't lay them off. An arranged marriage is the only way we can keep this company going for years to come." My father said.
"An arranged marriage? With who? When?" I said trying to wrap my head around this sudden situation.
"Remember I said I saved my friend's life in college, he's the owner of JungSong Corporations. He has a son, not much older than you, 23 years old. He was raised in this ambience, so he knows it was bound to happen, it was only a matter of time. I think he's even in that boy group you like and that your brother is in, VIXX, his name is Jung Taek Woon." My father said.
"Jung Taek Woon?I'm going to marry Leo?! Oh my gosh! No! You're lying! Oh my gosh. Are you sure this isn't a joke?" I asked not believing my ears.
"I'm serious." My father responded.
If my leg wasn't broken I'd be running around, probably fangirling til my death.
I felt as if I had just won the lottery. I no longer had to worry about not being able to pay for my tuition and having to put my pride down to ask Min Ji to help me. I could finally go and eat somewhere nice, and buy nice clothes, and I could even help other students that were struggling as I was previously. Even though I did find Leo attractive, I wasn't too happy about the marriage. Now that I could finally do what I always dreamed about, I was going to be tied down to a life commitment. -_-
"The reason we are telling you all this now is because Leo's father believes he is ready for this commitment. And we are in no position to negate his offer. He was the one who gave us the first boost into this business after all. We will be having the first marriage talk meeting tomorrow night, so I'll send you something to the house." My mother said.
"Wait but I'm only 20." I said abruptly.
"It's fine, by the looks of it the process of training and figuring stock division is a process that takes about a year, if not years." My father said.
I realized I was no longer happy at all this. Even if it was just pretend, my parents seemed more loving when they weren't around all this money and enterprises. I was being sold off, and they dared to talk about morals.....
