Ana got tired of dancing and went upstairs to sit at a table. She had a lot to process. She couldn't decide what was more nerve racking; that witches exist, that she was on a date with one, or the strange happening back downstairs on the dance floor. Her emotions and strange powers were, for once, the least of her problems.

"Can I get you anything?" A waitress asked her.

"Yes, a Cubalibre. And some fries."

"Coming right up."

"Thank you."

Ana gazed down at the people through the indoor balcony she was in. They looked so free, happy. She wished she could genuinely feel that way again. Not through some hypnotic trance from magic or alcohol, but from true joy and peace. The sad thing is that now, after her short time with Ben and his friends, that she may never experience that again.

"There you are," Ben said at the top of the stairs. He walked towards her, washed with relief.

"I just needed to sit. I got hungry."

"Really," Ben asked,"Is it that? Or is it that Arrianne confronted you?"

Ana looked down.

"What do you want with me Ben? You tell me that this whole other world exists and you just expect me to be okay with it?" She looked up at him.

"I know. It was wrong of me. But I know you want answers and I want to help."

"How?"

"Come with me. I wanna show you something."

Ben holds out his hand.

The waitress walks by and serves Ana her fries and drink.

"How about after you split these fries with me?"

"Dude, Arrianne is pretty pissed at you," Cam said. He and Peter were at the bar while Arrianne wandered off.

"I know. I meant to do that."

"Why?"

"So when Ana gets killed, Ben can blame her."

"Wait, what!?"

Cam was baffled and Peter kept a straight face.

"Well, technically, it's a back up plan."

"Peter, are you out of your fucking mind? She's the sheriff's daughter, there's a caster in this room who works with the chief, we'll all die!"

"Pipe down, I said back up plan."

"In the event of what exactly?"

"In case she's not what we think she is. Caster or Powerhouse."

"And?"

"And . . . That's it. There's nothing more to it."

"Peter, just tell me."

"We'll kill her in the event that she's in tabs with your brother."

"There it is," Cam said, disappointed, "It always somehow goes back to my family, huh?"

"Cam, you know I trust you. I just don't trust Alec. Any new supernatural creature we approach is a threat thanks to him."

"I know my own damn brother."

"And why are you getting so defensive? Last I checked, you didn't exactly leave off in the best of terms."

Cam thought back at the memory. His older brother, Alec, was eighteen and Cam, fifteen. Alec had dirty blond hair and was about Ben's height. He had brown eyes that glowed red when he used his powers, the sign of an evil caster.
