So far, my first day here is alright. In fact better than alright. I've just met Ana, a beautiful girl with big brown eyes, straight, black hair that falls down to her sculptured shoulders. She's the beauty I've been searching for in every single lifetime I've had; and I've lived, died, and been born over and over again since the Roman Empire of 300 B.C. (and before you jump to conclusions, no, I am not a vampire. I'm well acquainted with a few, but I'm not related to them)

Ana's helping me with mapping out the thirteen colonies. To be honest, I already know how, I just wanted an excuse to talk to her. Her voice could put anyone in a trance.

"So, after you draw the states, or colonies, I should say, you make a key," she says.

"Okay, so how do you make the key?" I already knew how to, but her voice is music to my ears.

"So, if say the Native Americans were here, you'd draw triangles to represent them. And then you'd write that triangles mean Native Americans in this box."

"Great, so . . . Um, is it okay that we, maybe sit at lunch together? I don't really know anybody here," God, when was the last time I asked a girl out? I must look like an idiot.

But somehow, she smiles and says,"I'd love to. We can walk together to my table. What's your next class?"

"Theater. Don't judge me."

"Wow, me too. I'm impressed that your interested in that kind of stuff."

"Yeah, I think Sophocles is a genius," in fact, I met him when I was sixteen in my second lifetime.

"Oh my God, me too!"

We talk, while making the map, the entire class period and on our way to theater, and all I can think of is what the rest of my current life would be like with her.

But despite my feelings, I have to think of the others. If she's human, falling for her could be very dangerous. My sister and I haven't even met with the council of this area yet. If anyone here found out that I was, in any way, putting us at risk of exposure, she and I are either punished or out of here.

Then again, this is all if she's human. That surge of energy I felt when we shook hands makes me question whether she is or not.
