"Have you lost your GODDAMN MIND!?" Arrianne exploded. She was overwhelmingly angry over how they handled Ana.

Cameron just walked towards Addie and picked her up.

"Addie, sweety," he said to her as calmly as possible, "Let's head out. I'll let you read or something."

He grabbed her book, took her out into the balcony, and sat her down on a wooden rocking chair near the door.

The balcony was much larger than it seemed from inside. It stretched for yards like the balcony in Aladdin that princess Jazmin had. Perfect fit for a princess, he thought.

"You stay here, okay?"

"Okay dad," she said as she opened her book and began to read.

"Hey."

She looked up.

"Are you okay kid?"

"I guess, but it's not me you should be worrying about," she said.

"I love you, okay?"

"Love you too, dad. You're gonna kick ass. But be careful."

He smiled and hugged her.

"Love you too. And thanks, but no more bad words."

She giggled and she began to read as her dad got up and made his way back inside.

Arrianne and Peter were going at each other like a pack of hyenas.

"YOU DIDN'T EVEN FUCKING THINK BEFORE YOU TOLD HIM! And now they could be in FUCKING SIBERIA FOR ALL WE KNOW!"
Arrianne yelled.

"Well if you kept your damned daughter under control, NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE FUCKING HAPPENED!"

"Blame my precious Addie ONE MORE TIME and I will set you on fire and make sure you wake UP AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FUCKING OCEAN!!!"

"Both of you SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Cameron screamed.

"You are a sick bitch for yelling like that in front of Addie. And you," he turned to Peter, "You out of all people should know that Addie can't control her powers, or her visions!"

He looked towards his right at the couch and found Carly reading a first edition of Great Expectations.

"And you!" Cam continued, throwing his hand at Carly's direction, "They're on the verge of getting in a fist fight and my daughter just revealed that Alec might come after Ana, who will probably end up being your sister in law, and your fucking reading!?"

Carly shrugged and rolled her eyes.
"You know better than anyone not to get in the way of Arrianne. And we're not one hundred percent sure about Alec. Addie herself said that her visions weren't always certain," Carly explained.

"And if it actually comes true, then what? We don't even know where the hell they are," Peter spat.

"They're in Ben's sanctuary, calm down," Carly said, rolling her eyes once more.

"What?" The other three said in unison.

"Yeah, he texted me like three minutes ago. I mean, at first they were gonna run away, but then Ana got mad with some I-don't-wanna-leave-home crap. So they went there."

"And you found this out when?" Peter asked, quite annoyed.

"When Arri was rubbing lavender oil on Addie's chest to calm her down. We texted while she and Cam were taking care of her, getting her water and teaching her how to calm down and stuff."

"And you're only telling us this now?" Arrianne asked, anger laced in her soft tone.

"Well if you weren't busy yelling at the guys, I might've told you sooner."

"Bitch," Arri responded.

"Better late then never right?" she said sarcastically.

"This is so much fun!" Ana exclaimed as she shot fire into the hearth of the living room. The embers scattered in the air like fire flies.

"I know right! Now you can make s'mores anywhere," Ben said, giving the biggest grin. Seeing Ana like this, in awe of herself was the eighth wonder of the world in his eyes. But a powerhouse learning new powers was quite a sight to behold in general.

"Can I ever use my powers at the same time?" She asked, staring at the fireplace.

"We don't know."

"Are there others like me?"

"There used to be. But we can't be sure right now. You're the first powerhouse any caster has encountered in centuries."

"Why? And what do you mean there used to be?"

Ben sighed. He dreaded this moment, but the truth was bound to come out eventually.

"Your race was very powerful, and lived in peace amongst all of us. As you know, you have more than two powers."

"Yeah, so?"

"An average caster has two powers at the most."

"So a powerhouse is different from a caster?"

"A powerhouse doesn't have the same magic as a regular caster. There's a difference in your blood, which makes you adjust to whatever power you deem necessary."

"Okay, you lost me."

He took her hand in his, bowed his head, and looked up at her.

"Ana, you're capable of having any and all powers. Levitation, mind reading, controlling the elements, you name it. All you have to do is learn."

Ana sighed. The fear that had disappeared when Ben revealed who he was had come back with a vengeance.

Not only was she different in this world as well, but also one of the most powerful casters out there. Perhaps the only one, she thought.

"Wait, you said was."

"What?"

"My race. You said it was powerful. What about now, who brought them down? Are they in hiding?"

Ben closed his eyes and shook his head.

"Ana I'm so sorry."

"For what? Ben, tell me."

He looked at her warily.

"You're race of Powerhouses has been extinct since 1258 B.C. I'm sorry."

Ana sighed. The weight that was once lifted had quickly returned to her shoulders-she was alone once again.

Only this time, she had bigger problems.

"But it's inherited. Magic, right? You and your sister are casters. I must have family out there who-"

"We don't know the genetic patterns of your kind. It's been so long since the last family was on record, and it could skip generations for all we know."

"Or my family could just be good at staying hidden," she said quickly.

"We can't be sure. But we're going to find out as much as we can, okay? I promise you, we'll make it out alive."

"You mean like the rest of my kind?"

"Ana, I-"

"No! I can't avoid the inevitable, right? I can't avoid death or extinction or Alec, I-"

She stopped and came to a realization.

Oh My God, she thought.

What? Ben responded as she opened up to him.

He's the reason, isn't he?

Not completely, but he was a major factor.

Alec killed my kind. And now he's trying to finish the job.
