"Addie, Addie. Sweetie, just relax," Arrianne said rubbing her daughter's shoulders, attempting to calm her down.
She was hyperventilating, panicking over what she had just saw.
"Ana. Ana. Annabel," Addie said, over and over again. She was sobbing, but only a few tears streamed down her face.
"What about Annabel? What did you see darling?" Cam said.
Addie looked at Ana, then back at Cam.
"It's uncle," she sobbed."Who? Ben? Peter?"
"No daddy, " she cried softly and whispered everyone's worst fear, "Uncle Alec."
All eyes were on Ana. The room was completely silent.
"Who is that?" Ana asked. She knew by their expressions that whoever this was was a dangerous man.
"Ben," she turned to him, "Please tell me who that is."
"Ben, get Ana out of here," Cam said, menacingly quiet.
"Listen to him," Peter demanded.
Everyone was frozen in place-shocked, afraid, and scared for Ana. Alec was capable of just about anything. This was the same man who helped lead the Mongol invasion that caused the Powerhouse Massacre. The same man who assisted Hitler in World War II to begin the extermination of the human race. The same man who was the first to turn his back towards the good and join the dark side of the world-of their world."NOW BEN!" Peter yelled. He was on edge over the memories that haunted him.
Ben grabbed Ana's hand and rushed her out of the library.
"Ben wait!" Ana yelled, "Ben . . . BEN!"
"I gotta get you out of here!" Ben yelled back. He was angry and frightened at the same time. He suspected someone would go after her eventually, considering what she was. But he never knew it would come to this.
"BEN! STOP!" Ana jerked her hand away. He whipped his head and turned to fully face her.
"Ana, please I-"
"Ben," she said, her voice laced in worry, "Tell me, what's going on?"
"Listen to me," he said softly, "What you need to do is go home, and pack your bags. I'll be waiting for you outside. We'll figure everything else out on the drive and-"
"You never answered my question."
"Ana, I'll explain on the w-"
"No Ben! Either tell me now or I'm leaving!"
Ben sighed and closed his eyes. He put his forehead against Ana's, holding her face in his hand.
"It's the Exaudi," he finally says.
"Exaudi?""They're a clan of evil casters. A very large clan. And they've been around about as long as before I was first ever born," he lifted his head so she could see his expression, "And one of their damned dictators is going to come after you."
"But Cameron is a good witch. How can his-"
"It's a long story," he cuts her off, "All you need to know is that we have to get out of here. Now."
"Ben! Think rationally first."
"Ana, you may be hunted down by one of the most dangerous men in all of history. He convinced Hitler to do the genocides to try and begin the extermination of humans."
"Wait, Hitler was a caster? What the hell?"
"I'll give you a history lesson in the car."
He attempts to pull her out of the restaurant, but she barely even flinches.
