My eyes still hurt from the chlorine and I felt awfully sleepy, my head hurts and I can barely sit up.
No wait, this is humiliating I can't die like this
I stand up after a few tries

I'm just here so Yui stays alive
At least I'm helping her.. that's the only thing I can do right now
I exit the room and try to find my way back to the main hallway- wait im back at the mansion?!
Everything seemed so empty and quiet.
It was almost unbearable.
Ok, what's the worst thing that can happen? I try to calm myself down but only end up thinking of the worst possible scenarios.
I looked around and notice a door I haven't seen before, it was half-open. Well- its not like I did much exploring really..
I decided to knock
" Yui I know you're in there, I'm alone, can I come in?" I infact did not know she was in there but Im a believer!
She slowly opened the door, her big innocent eyes scanning the hall to see if I was really alone. She paused then nodded and clumsily pulled me in by my wrist.
" so long story short I got thrown in a pool and nearly died" i say hoping to make the mood lighter
" Gosh, that's terrible! I'm so sorry"
" Nah it's not your fault plus it makes a pretty fun story, if you exclude the loser who threw me in"
We giggled but her face dropped as she remembered that the notebook she was holding was still here.
She took a deep breath and flicked through the pages, visibly expecting something. But they were all blank. She looked so confused.
" Yui, was there something there before ?" I asked and pulled her a bit closer to me after all she looked like she was really scared and about to cry. She hanged her head,
" y-yeah last time I checked there were pictures of *sniff* me and my 'father' and I think it was his diary and.. and it said that he adopted me and-"
I put my arm on her back. She flinched slightly but realises that I'm not going to hurt her soon after
"shh, it's ok. You know what you needed to know but those memories of him you should try to get rid of. I know you want to run away. I know you don't like it here-"
"-and you do?"
"Of course I don't. But I want to be here to help you. We have no were to go Yui. Especially you. Where are you going to go? Back home? Your dad purposely brought you here. How can you go back to him?"
" what about you? Cant, you leave?"
What?! Why is she asking about me? Shes the one in more danger
I sigh. I didn't have anywhere to go either but i was more invisible than her. I could start a new life anywhere if I really wanted to.. did I want to?
" I don't think they would let us go that easily" I state avoiding the question
