34.) PAYING

Mingyu was walking his way to the convenient store nearby to buy 

He was called by his friend Minho who is the manager of the café he was working at 

"Hello?" He answered the phone

"Are you going to work tomorrow?" Minho asked 

"Mhm. I can hear a movie playing. Are you on a date with Jisung right now? Cuz if you are he'd sulky" He heard Minho giggled

"We're not. He's watching videos on his phone and we were about to sleep it's almost midnight" The younger replied

"By the way, I can hear cars and crickets from your side. What are you doing? Not committing suicide, are you?" Minho continued 

After hearing that Mingyu quickly answered "No. Of course not"

"Good. Now bye, we'll head to sleep" 

"Ok, sleep well" Mingyu said entering the store

"Sweet nightmares" Minho then hang the phone up

Mingyu placed his phone on his pocket and started looking for the materials he was looking for

"Ramyeon...heat pack and a new ballpen" He said approaching the counter and putting his thing on the top of it

"₩50,000" Mingyu heard as he took the plastic bag

He was about to leave till he heard

"Yah, Mingyu-ssi" said a familiar voice

He turned to see Wonwoo in a uniform

"Hyung? You work here?" Wonwoo nodded and signaled him to pay for the materials

Mingyu noticed "Ah yeah. Sorry, I forgot"

"How much again?" He looked at his wallet

"₩50,000" The older repeated

"Here" He paid and saw the convenient store doors open

"Wait for me. My shifts over" Wonwoo looked at the person who just entered and went to the back

"Mingyu?" Mingyu heard 

Mingyu looked at his side to see

"Minjun?" He looked at the younger who was wearing an identical uniform as Wonwoo

"How has it been, hyung?" Minjun smiled at Mingyu who was waiting for his Senior

"It's been fine. How about you? Ever since you left for Japan we never heard from you" 

"I never wanted to return in the first place...I still haven't moved on" Minjun said under his breathe

"Can you repeat that?" Mingyu pretended he didn't hear that

The frown became a smile "Nothing. I was saying I didn't know what your numbers were"

"You could've told Chan's parents. They still have the same number as before" 

"...I forgot their number" The younger said 

"I just didn't want to" Minjun mouthed and smiled

Mingyu didn't hear him this time but he was sure about something

Minjun didn't want to return to Korea

"Mingyu let's go! Oh. Minjun-ie you arrived?"

"Mhm" The younger smiled and took over Wonwoo's place

"You two love birds can leave. I can take care of this" Minjun pushed the two out the store

"See you another time, hyung" Minjun went inside 

The other two walked to the nearest bus station 

"Why are waiting here?" Wonwoo looked confusingly at the younger

"I mean aren't you heading home" Wonwoo smiled at him

"My house is just beside yours" Mingyu nodded and walked as they head the same way

"Wait. We're neighbors?" Mingyu stopped realizing what the older said

"Mhm. I moved a week ago. Since I need a place to live closer to my working place" Wonwoo explained

They finally arrived and they bid their farewell

'See you tomorrow, hyung' Mingyu thought before he went inside his house
