" soo... whatcha listening to? " yahaba asked, smiling at kyoutani and putting half of his body on the table so he could go closer to the boy in front of him.

yahaba's position would've caused them to get in trouble but luckily they're hidden from the librarian's sight.

they're studying in a library on a monday afternoon for the upcoming exams. monday is their rest day so all the third years decided to hold a study session but before 4:30 even came, only yahaba and kyoutani was left studying in the library.

but to be honest, kyoutani's the only one studying right now.

the ace started actually coming to whatever the club goes after the past third years graduated.

kyoutani removed one earbud and looks up at him with an eyebrow raised. " none of your business, " he said and then brought back the earbud to his ear.

yahaba rolled his eyes at the attitude of the ace.

" I'm trying to start a conversation, idiot, " he replied.

" we're here to study though. "

yahaba groaned at that.

" that's not fun, " he whined.

it was kyoutani's turn to roll his eyes.

" please, you're acting like our previous captain. "

" didn't know I'd see the day that you'd compliment me! " he said sarcastically, even putting a palm on his chest dramatically to add effect.

kyoutani just ignored him.

" come on now! i wanna know what music you're into " , yahaba insisted.

" fine, whatever shuts you up " , the bleach blonde yanked one of his earbuds off again and threw it to yahaba's direction.

yahaba jumped off his seat excitedly and ran to the chair next to the kyoutani, bringing his things along with him.

he settled to the chair and grabbed the ear bud that kyoutani removed and placed on his ear.

a song just ended it seems and a new one is starting.

drums started to play for few seconds, without any other instrument accompanying it, then the electric guitar came after.

it was loud, but not as loud as most would expect. actually, it was pretty good in yahaba's opinion.

kyoutani's head starts bobbing along the beat and his hands started drumming against the book in front of him.

this goes on for a while before the instruments quieted down and the lead starts singing.

the two stayed silent for few minutes until the song finished.
