Chapter Thirteen

I was woken up by my phone ringing I look and I see Kols name I decline the call. His been calling all morning and it's pissing me off. I tired to go back to bed but Ellie started crying just great. I didn't get any sleep last night it's like I can't sleep without kol and that pisses me off too. My phone rang and I looked it was klaus so I answered
"What" I snapped
"Kol has been calling all morning wondering we're your at"klaus said obviously annoyed
I scoffed "I'm home where else would I be" I rolled me eyes
Ellie started crying again and mumbling Kols name you could barley hear it but your able to make it out
"Sounds like someone misses kol" he chuckled "kol she's okay she's home" I heard klaus yell and I heard foot steps
"Look nik I got to go Ellie is screaming and I didn't get any sleep last night so I'm tired" I hung up before  he could argue

We were now in the living room and I was laying on the couch and Ellie was crawling on the ground and somewhat walking. I heard a knock so I got up and opened the door
"Hey Kai what are you doing" I was confused why he was here
"So I was bored and I thought why not be bored at a friends house" he smiled and walked in, okay not weird at all
"Why hello Emma" yup still not good with names
I laughed "it's Ellie" he looked confused
"Are you sure because I like Emma better" he has a weird humor
"Yea I'm sure it's Ellie" he sat down on the couch and started flipping through channels
"I love this new technology it's great" yup I'm friends with a weirdo
We were watching a sad movie well Ellie played with her toys. I started tearing up because a dog died and the movie ended. how can you end a movie like that
Kai looked at me "I never understood feelings" he blurted out
"What?"I questioned
"I'm a sociopath" I furrowed my eyebrows
"Your weird Kai" I laughed, my phone rang and I saw it was Stefan
"Hold up Kai I have to take this" I walked around the corner still making sure I could see Ellie
"Hey stef what's up" I answered, haven't talk to him in forever
"Nothing just calling to check on you guys" I nodded my head even if he couldn't see
"Damon told you about yesterday huh?" I knew that's why he was calling
"Yea he told me but I'm just making sure your okay by yourself with the kids" he explained
"Yea I'm fine" I stated "but hey I have to go I have company over" I looked at Kai and he had a hand full over popcorn in his hand shoving it into his mouth
"Okay well text me okay" he said and hung up
I walked back over and laughed at Kai because he had popcorn all over
"Your going to be the death of me if we stay friends" I smiled and he smirked

I was now by myself with Ellie and she wouldn't stop crying
"What's wrong with her" I saw ale walking down the stairs
I shrugged my shoulders "I don't know I tired everything but she just won't stop crying" I groaned in frustration
Ale walked back upstairs closing his door so he won't hear Ellie
"Why are you crying baby" I smiled at her with tears in my eyes
I failed at holding my tears I was now crying with Ellie "I know I suck at this but please" I begged, I rocked her back and forth
"I think your doing a great job" I turned and saw klaus " I would of quit if I was a parent" he walked over to us and grabbed ellie
He grabbed my head bring it to his chest kissing the top and I began to cry hard for some reason. He pulled my head back and wiped my tears
"Why don't you go take a bath well I lay her down" I just nodded my head because that sounded great right now

I was laying on the bed because klaus said to relax for awhile we'll he puts Ellie to bed. I was rubbing my temples when I heard klaus telling Ellie a bedtime story

" once upon a time, there was this siphoner who helped the big bad wolf. So she'll be able to protect her family. And she had this beautiful daughter who was a princess. The siphoner fell in love with a wily fox. The wily fox loved both siphoner and princess with all his heart. He watched over the princess like if she was his own. Both girls brought the good out of him but not only him his family too. They all had their ups and downs with each other but at the end they would all fight for each other because they are family and someone once told me family is power" he kissed Ellie's head "littlest fox you are loved by many"
Klaus laid Ellie down and put a stuff animal next to her
"Thank you nik" I whispered and walked in, I looked at the stuff animal and it was a fox
"Kol told me to give it to her" he noticed I was looking at it "about the story I'm-"
I cut him off "I loved it klaus" I chuckled "who would of thought the big bad wolf is telling bed time story's" he chuckled
"Don't tell anyone or I'll kill you" he smirked, I put my hands up in defense "and your not bad at this I think she just misses someone because she always seems to stop crying when she feels a Mikaelsons around " I was kinda hurt by his words, does she not love me
"I didn't mean it like that" he chuckled "I mean she already knows your here so she's looking for the other parent" I was still kinda confused
"But she stopped crying with you and Rebekah" I furrowed my eyebrows
"Well we do have the same blood and we all live in the same house with Kol" he explained
I walked him downstairs and hugged him one last time
"Goodnight Ava" klaus kissed my head "goodnight" he started walking away
"Hey klaus did you come here to check on us or to make me forgive kol" I questioned
"I was feeling generous" klaus said and vamp speed away
I went to go lay back down with Ellie. Another sleepless night. I looked over at Ellie softly snoring holding her new fox, At least she will get sleep
