[Leonard's POV]

I adjusted my jacket and squinted upwards.

"Mom, do we really have to go?"

She smiled and said, "Yes, dear"

"But I promised I won't ever leave her." I protested.

She smiled again, which I now find irritating. "We have to. Your dad and I need to go back to U.S. for our work."

I looked down, frowning. I didn't like staying in U.S. It's worst if I stayed there for a long time. I hated Granny's burnt cookies, Gramp's boring classics, and, most importantly, Ysabelle, my best friend, doesn't live there.

Mom must've noticed my disappointment because she gave me a reassuring smile. "You'll like it there, Leo. Trust me. Now say goodbye to Ysabelle. She'll get angry if you don't."
