Percy's POV
Uncle Hades told my dad what happened. Dad then forbade Toothless and I from ever leaving the sea. Toothless and I are four now. We were bored. We didn't know what to do and playing with Sally seems to be boring us too. We remember dad saying that we were forbidden from ever leaving the palace, but come on, what chance will there be that the man remembers us. Toothless and I went out our window and swam as fast as we could away from the palace. We ended up in New York. Toothless transformed into a kitten, I lost my mermaids tail. We then got on a bus and got off. We saw a playground called Billy Johnson playground. We happily went in. We played a lot and had the most fun we've ever had in the past year. Toothless and I were going down the slide when we noticed a man. It was the same man who tried to take us out of the Underworld. Zeus, I think his name was. He was looking for us. I picked up Toothless arms we ran towards the gate, before we reached it, someone grabbed us. "Let go! Let go!" I shouted. "You had me scared to death, I told you not to run off!" It was Zeus and I think he was pretending to be my dad. He put my head in his neck and grabbed Toothless by the fur. I couldn't see where we were going. The man put me in a car seat in a limo. He put Toothless in a cage. I was scared. I should've stayed in the sea. Daddy's going to be so mad at me. In a few minutes, my stomach started to rumble. I was hungry, I hadn't eaten in an hour or so. Weakly, I said, "C-can we stop for McDonalds?" I looked up at him and he looked down at me with those electric blue eyes. He didn't say anything, so I guess that's a no. The windows were tinted. I fell asleep and woke up, I think it's been an hour or two. Zeus took me out of the car seat and picked both Toothless and I up. We got out and I saw he was walking towards a McDonald's. I couldn't help but smile. I whispered Toothless and my order to him and he got it for us. We sat outside at one of the tables. "Stay here, I have to go call your dad." Uncle Zeus left us at the table to eat our happy meal. We played with the toys. We got minion toys. While we were eating, a group of older boys came over. "Well, what do we have here, a dumb little girl and her cat." Said a boy with blond hair. He pushed me off the bench. "Hey!" I yelled. "Aww, what are you gonna do? Cry!" Shouted a brown haired boy. They started saying mean things about me, threw my food at me, they even hurt Toothless. I couldn't help but cry. "Look, the little baby's crying!" They laughed. "Hey! Leave my niece alone!" My uncle roared. The boys ran off. Uncle picked us up, I heard him mutter. "Damn mortal boys." He wiped the ketchup off my face. He placed me back in the car seat with Toothless in my lap. He got me another Happy Meal. We got out and headed into the Empire State Building. There was a security guard in the lobby, he was reading a book. We walked up to him. "Six hundredth floor." Uncle Zeus said. "No such floor, sir." The man said without looking up from his book. "Excuse me?" Uncle said raising his voice a little. I tugged on Uncles coat suit, he looked down at me. "But there really is no six hundredth floor, Uncle. There's no such thing as a six hundredth floor." I whispered to him. The guard looked down at me and said. "Oh, what a cute little girl, what's-" when he looked at my uncle his face turned pearly white. "Now, about that card." Uncle Zeus said looking at him. The guard fumbled around his desk and handed my Uncle a keycard. We then went into the elevator and when the doors closed, my Uncle put the card into a slot. The card disappeared and a button appeared on the console, it was red and said 600. He pressed it. When the doors had opened, Uncle Zeus walked out onto a narrow stone walkway. I'll Toothless and I looked down to see Manhattan, we were both too scared to go on the walkway. Uncle looked behind him to see us still in the elevator, sighing, he came back and picked us up. I saw golden palaces, parks, and streets bustling with people. Uncle Zeus took Toothless and I into one of the palaces. He placed us in a chair in the kitchen, and left. Toothless and I ate our Happy Meal while we waited. Uncle Zeus came back with a huge muscular man. He had black crewcut hair, flames for eyes, and a face with knifescarred cheeks. The man was wearing a black jacket, red shirt, black jeans, army boots, and a knife strapped to his thigh. "Who's he, Uncle Zeus?" I said eating some fries. "Uncle Zeus?" The man looked at him. "I told you she's not my kid." "What's your name?" Uncle Zeus asked me. "Percy, that's Toothless." I said pointing to him. Toothless's head was in the happy meal box and he was trying to get some of the food. "Why did you bring them here?" The man said to Uncle Zeus. "Because I need to have a little talk with Poseidon, but I need someone to look after these two." The man looked at us. "And you want me to babysit?!" He exclaimed. "No! I'm not babysitting two kids!" "You are babysitting them! I'd have your mother do it but she's not here." We were taken to the flame eye's man's house, well more like palace. Surrounding it was a gigantic barbed wire fence, with signs that said No Trespassing, Beware of the dogs, Keep Away, I'm not responsible for your death, etc. I think some of these signs are made with blood. I saw the dogs, there were about ten of them. Some were Rottweilers, German Shepard, pit bull, and a Bullmastiff. They were barking aggressively. "Be careful, they're aggressive." Said the Flame eye man. Toothless and I were behind the man when the German Shepard walked up to me. He sniffed Toothless and I then licked my face. I then started petting all the dogs, it seems they were nice after all. "C'mon." The flame eye man muttered grabbing Toothless and I and bringing us inside. "So, what's your name?" I asked him as he closed the door. "Ares, I'm the god of war. The man who you called your uncle is Zeus king of the gods, my dad." "So, that makes you my cousin!" I said excitedly. "Yeah, sure." He opened his fridge, reached in, and took out a beer. We followed him to his living room where he sat on his couch. "What's Uncle Zeus like?" I asked him. He took a sip of his beer and didn't say anything. "Are you okay, Ares?" I asked him. "Look, kid, I'm not well liked on Olympus or anywhere." "We like you. Why don't people like you?" "I'm the god of war, my parents are disappointed in me, they hate me actually and so does all the other Olympians." "Oh, I'm just wondering can Toothless and I have some paper and crayons." "Sure," he snapped his fingers and the supplies appeared on the black coffee table. "Knock yourself out, kid." I gave a piece of paper to Toothless. He started drawing using his mouth. I grabbed a crayon and started drawing, Ares turned on his TV and watched something that wasn't child friendly. I made sure not to look. An hour or two later, there was a knock on the door. Ares got up and went to answer it. He came back with dad. "Daddy!" I yelled running up to him. Toothless did the same. Happily, dad picked us up and gave us a great big hug. "I missed you two so much." He said, kissing us on the head. Before we headed home with dad, we gave Ares the picture we drew.
Ares's POV
Poseidon's daughter handed me two pictures. She said goodbye and I shut the door. I looked at the picture she and her brother drew. On Percy's picture she drew me and her, as best a four year old could. Under were the words, "for the best god ever," I smiled. Toothless's drawing was a bit unclear but it was probably the same as Percy's. I found out that all the Olympians, except my mother, Rhea, Eros, Persephone and a few other people knew about Percy and Toothless. Dad freaked, and was a bit disappointed that Athena never told him. He decided that they should be without Percy and Toothless for a year. "You're not going to kill them?" Mother said to him. "Well, they're kids." He said to him.
