In search of an identity,
my mind convinced me I was empty.
Constantly striving to be someone new,
I wish that I would have a breakthrough.
A color scheme, a style, a new moral compass,
anything to subside the numbness.
Maybe if I had an aesthetic to follow,
my life would not feel so hollow.
What do they like, what do they prefer?
Can this inner conflict please be over?
This life does not feel like my own,
what version of me, will feel like home?
