The girl from nowhere

Wendy kept singing loudly like an innocent child, it seems her DIY stress relief method was quite effective.

But then, a shadow slowly approached behind her.

The shadow let out a call, pulling her back to reality.

"Excuse me, are you... Yuri? A friend of Saki Yoshida."

Wendy immediately turned around as she heard someone calling out her fake name. A young doctor with a long white coat was standing behind her. He was a lot taller than her, making Wendy raise her head to talk with him.

"Ye ... yes, I'm Saki's friend. I came to visit her, but suddenly saw her like that near her place." Wendy replied and hurriedly asked about her "friend". "So, how about my friend, doctor. How is she now?"

"Well, I don't know what your friend has been through. But... I'm sorry for saying this, Yuri...." The young doctor took a deep breath and paused for a while.

All the blood in Wendy's body stopped flowing after hearing that sentence. Her heart also seemed to stop beating for a few seconds. A feeling of fear ran down her spine, then spread across her entire body up to her fingertips...

"That was ... a freaking insane miracle! Yuri. Your friend and the baby ... has survived a critical crisis and is receiving intensive treatment." The doctor replied.

That statement from the doctor made Wendy's heartbeat again. The blood in her began to flow steadily through the body, freeing her from the freezing of fear. "What? She is... alive? Saki is still alive?" SHe asked back happily. It seemed all the anxiety in her mind was wiped out after hearing the good news. "And ho... How about the baby? I saw so much blood flowing out of her womb, doctor?" Wendy worriedly asked about the baby.

The doctor slowly explained to the little girl in front of him. "Well, there was some damage to the child. But the baby was still strong enough to survive. And the blood mainly came from a tear inside her vagina. The main concern right now is that her heart may stop beating at any moment. So, we still need to supervise her."

"But... for now, both of them have... survived, they're still alive, right ?" Wendy asked back with the worry on her face.

"Yes, for now, they're doing good," said the doctor.

Wendy was as happy as she just saved a friend. Although she doesn't have any friends. She exclaimed happily while almost crying. "Damn it! ...Damn it!... I was so, so scared... doctor! A hah... ha hah! Thank you... Thank you so..."

The doctor interrupted her and said with one word that startled Wendy.

"However, Yuri. Your friend also used drugs. So, we'll probably need to report this to the police. There is also...."

"Oh hey!.... doctor! Don't worry!" She immediately reassured the doctor after hearing about the police "Just chill, alright?"

Wendy knew a drug user like Saki would be in trouble with the police, and she wasn't a big fan of the cops either. She needed to find a way to deal with the problem before it arrived.

Normally, Wendy would run away to protect her "very clean" identity from the cops. But tonight, that's not what she wanted. Tonight, Wendy wanted to stay with her "friend".

Even though that girl was just a stranger to her, she felt it was her responsibility to not leave that girl behind.

"My friend... She just wants to have some fun, you know? But somehow, she didn't control it properly. So... she was kinda messed up." Wendy slowly explained to the doctor. "I mean, we don't need the cops to mess things up again, right?"
