Mr. Boss, His Assistant and The Intern

Prologue

"Good morning!" The cheery voice came into the solemn office. The dark cloud dispersed as soon as the office was graced by their sunshine. The workers that already arrived perked up and smiled to the new person coming in with such sweet cheerful voice. It's their every morning blessing or actually they're blessed to have this sunshine as a part of their team. At least the stressful work became better because of their sunshine.

"Morning, Khun Lucas!" They chorused. The source of joy, their sunshine, Lucas chuckled.

"Aren't you guys too excited today?" Lucas said teasing.

"Maii (No), we're the same as usual." One of the workers, a girl said.

"Oh, eh. Try to fool me, I know everyone is excited we're going to receive new boss who they said very handsome." Lucas squinted his eyes as he made his way to his desk, that is beside the door stated 'Administrative Manager 1'.

One of the workers chuckled. "Oh, P'Lucas. You can't blame them na. They're just... thirsty." The guy who came standing next to Lucas's desk said. Lucas guffawed.

"Aren't you as well, Ai'Kin? You're a flirt to every breathing being." The guy, Kin looked at him scandalous.

"P'Lucas, our honourable P'Assistant. Don't throw shade on this humble subject na." Kin said mocking. Lucas just chuckled. He clapped his hand later to make everyone listen to him. The whole team looked at him.

"Aside from your anticipated boss na everyone, today we got new intern coming in. So, welcome the intern too okay?"

"Krub, Khun Lucas."

"Er, er. Now you guys can start working. Chit chat time's up." Lucas waved his hand. They all grinned and back to whatever they did before Lucas arrived. Kin was still standing beside Lucas's desk. 

Their team is a part of the Administrative Department of the company, Team 1. The said department was quite big and separated into four teams that handled different aspect of the company's work and Team 1 is the team who regulated internal data so the team had the least member among the four teams but they're longest and trust-able people working for the company. Lucas had worked there more than five years already, had been starting as an intern in the same team and department until now he's promoted as the manager's assistant.

"I already get the profile of the new intern from HR earlier." Kin said and passed a file. Lucas took it and nodded. "I need to say, these predators might have a feast with two gorgeous faces coming in today." Kin said.

Lucas glanced at Kin. Kin started working there after Lucas accepted as the permanent staff. They had been a good friend since then and always hangout together. Lucas is friendly and cheerful guy ever since birth and Kin is an honest jokester so they clicked well even though Kin was two years younger. And Kin was the most senior among the team after him. "You will join the chase as well."

"Nah, P'. The big fish is too out of league and the small fish is too cute. I will pass." Kin said. Lucas chuckled. Kin was openly bisexual and a big flirt. He will hit anyone that breathed, luckily he had the face that people couldn't reject. Lucas shrugged.

"Anyway, thanks for helping to collect this. Did you ask them are they going to send him here or I need to get the guy somewhere?"

"Oh, one of them will guide the guy here. So we just wait." Kin pointed to the empty desk at the corner on the same line as Lucas' desk. "I have ask Lisa to tidy that one." The girl at the desk opposite Lucas gave a wave of hand.

Lucas nodded and mouthed thank you to the girl, Lisa. He turned to Kin. "Great, you have proven yourself useful."

"Hey, P'!" Lucas chuckled.

"Nah, go do your work. I need to settle things before it's time to welcome the boss." Lucas said.

"Wait, wait. Before you chase me away, tell me the big fish name. I'm curious." Kin said. Lucas stared at Kin.

"You said big fish is too out of league. Why you concern now? You can wait for his introduction later."

"Meanie, can't you entertain your nong here P'?" Kin pouted. Lucas chuckled.

"Fine, I'm your generous P'. His name is Ritthirong Dechaphatthanakun. Director said if we're lucky, we can call him Khun Nai. I don't know, sounds like he's a tough to handle." Lucas said casually. Kin nodded. "Now, go to your work. I'm generous until there only, geesh. You already make me gossip with you, Ai'Kin." Lucas shooed him. Kin chuckled and then left to his own desk that was beside the empty desk for the intern.

Lucas read the profile of the intern for a while. 'Oh, he attended RU. Hm, could be Ai'Bong's student.' He read the name. 'Kittichai Traipipattanapong. Auh, I wonder if people ever call him Kitty because he looks like a cute kitten.' Lucas chuckled secretly and shook his head. He set aside the file and logged onto his laptop, ready to work. He glanced at the time, reminding himself he had one and half hour to check on the mails and any other works before he had to welcome the new boss.

The office fell in silence except for paper and typing sounds as everyone was diligently doing their job.

(27/01/21) A/N: Hello everyone. So, it's just a short one as the prologue. Are you getting yet who is who in the story? I'm not using their name for my story, I'm only casting them. (But I borrow their family name so you shall already knew who is who by now if you squinted enough). Anyway, I will introduce the notable characters including the three main characters in the next chapter so hit that up for avoiding your confusion. As I mention in my previous A/N, I have not yet fix the story to a plot and also not yet decided I want who to end up with who. Let's discover together? I just hope this will be enjoyable to you. I will try my best to update regularly (but will alternately update together with the other ongoing story of mine), I just hope I won't lose muse for this story that's all.
