"Hey. Have things on your mind?"
Yim slightly startled by the sudden voice behind him but relaxed later knowing it's just Nai. The said guy returned from paying the bills. Both of them came out to have a dinner at the famous rooftop restaurant in the town. Yim got a day off today after long weeks dedicating himself at the lab for the research he joined. It was about to finish already so that's why the leader let the team had a day off. For the weeks he had been involving with the research, he hadn't meet Nai much except when Nai got some free time to visit him at the hospital for a short time. He also didn't meet Ai for a long time.
"Just about work." Yim said softly pressing his palms against the rail. Nai hummed and leaned closer, embracing the doctor from the back. Yim just let it be. "Baby."
"Hm?" Nai placed his chin on the shoulder, giving all his attention to the guy in his arms.
"You're planning to say something tonight... right?" Yim said. He realized this since Nai came to pick him up at his house. He felt like Nai was a bit jittery as if he was about to do something. And when they arrived at the restaurant, Yim knew he's correct. The choice of the place was a bit special, they both aren't a type to dine in such special vibe restaurant like this, stunning view pretty decoration and all.
Nai exhaled. "I'm busted, eh? You know me too well." Nai said chuckling. Yim just hummed.
'Yeah, I know you a bit too well, Nai.' Yim said in his heart. Nai loosened the hug and made Yim turned towards him. Yim looked at Nai and then his eyes side-glanced behind them. He just realized they're a bit away from other people and very conveniently that the tables near theirs were empty.
"Baby, I hope it didn't come out like I'm pressuring you or something. I know we agreed to slowly pick up where we have left because there's many years since the last day of us together. But... I- I am hoping that you could come with me and meet my parents."
Yim startled. He stared at Nai. "Your parents know?"
Nai tilted his head. "Know? If you're saying about knowing that I prefer male instead of female, they knew. The close family knew about that. But if it's about you, I haven't told them about you. But my parents knew already that I'm seeing someone, I'm not sure how thou. Maybe someone saw us or something but they kept hinting me about bringing home a lover so I'm sure they knew but waiting for me to tell them." Nai explained. Yim just stared at Nai. "I thought maybe it's better to ask you first before I told them about you and bring you to meet them."
Yim exhaled. "Thanks for being considerate and understanding, baby. You really have matured. I'm sure if back then, you would already just drive us to your parents' house. Your impulsive ass won't ask me first." Yim said. Nai chuckled.
"You really know me." Nai said while his hands went up to cup Yim's cheeks softly. "Will you say yes? To move to the next step with me?" Nai asked. Their eyes met each other. Yim was looking directly into it without answering for few moments.
"Nai Ritthirong."
"Yes, sir." Nai said in all fake seriousness. Yim just shook his head.
"Baby, are you sure? Do you think it through?" Yim said taking his hands to hold Nai's and slowly brought it down from his cheeks. Nai frowned, now feeling uneasy with Yim's reaction.
"Why you ask like that? I'm serious, Yim. I want us back together." Nai said, this time serious. Yim stared at Nai for a while before smiling softly. Nai noticed that but it didn't ease him because that wasn't Yim's usual warm smile. It was somewhat laced with sadness. "Yim, baby?"
"Do you really want us back? Are you still have that feeling for me?" Yim said. Nai frowned. "Do you still love me, Nai?"
Nai nodded quickly slightly felt uncomfortable and scared with this situation. "I do. I do."
