"Good morning." Ikk greeted Lucas when he saw Lucas waited in front of the elevator. Lucas turned and quickly gave a bow to his director.
"Morning, Khun Chanokchon." Lucas greeted back.
"How's your weekend, Lucas?" Ikk asked making a small talk. Lucas glanced at the director a bit.
"Just normal. I use it to rest and stay in house, so nothing much." Lucas said smiling lightly. Ikk nodded didn't comment further when he realized Lucas seemed didn't want to talk about that and also how the guy smiled didn't even reach his eyes.
The elevator just arrived when someone came and joined them. "Morning, P'Ikk." Lucas stiffened at the voice. Ikk smiled to the newcomer.
"Morning, Nai. You arrived at this time, breakfast at home?" Ikk asked the guy. Three of them entered the elevator.
"Yeah, I did. Morning, Lucas."
"Morning, sir." Lucas said and nodded curtly. Ikk raised his brow slightly while Nai looked at Lucas for a while before turning to Ikk again. Lucas just silently pressed the floor button for them and closed the door. Nai was making small talks with Ikk all the while in the elevator. Lucas kept silent in front.
Not long after that, they arrived at the floor where Lucas and Nai should get off. Lucas turned a bit to Ikk and bade his goodbye politely, walking first. Ikk just nodded and watched him leaving. He noticed how Lucas blatantly ignored Nai. Nai on the other hand frowned hard and huffed afterward. He stepped out and turned to Ikk.
"See you later, P'Ikk." Ikk nodded and the door closed. He shook his head. 'Now, what's with the two?'
Nai walked towards his department. Some workers who passed by him greeted the boss who just gave a curt nod while his legs walked firmly towards his office.
Lucas was just booting on his laptop when Nai arrived next to his desk. "Get in later once you're ready to work." Nai said monotone before getting into his office. Lucas just exhaled. He took his I-pad after he put his bag in his drawer and got up to go into Nai's office.
Nai called him in when the knock heard. Lucas got inside and walked closer to Nai's desk. Nai asked for his schedule and Lucas informed him as per usual. The boss glanced a bit at his assistant when he realized the flat tone Lucas was using. He felt unsettled with that but said nothing.
'What's wrong again with him?'
"Anything else, sir?" Lucas asked. Nai hummed.
"Have you taken note there's a training next week?" Lucas nodded. "That training will need few people from each team, I let you arrange for that. Just let me know later the names."
"Okay, sir."
"Get me coffee and that would be all." Nai said. Lucas gave a nod and excused himself. Nai watched Lucas's leaving. "Lucas."
Lucas stopped and turned back without looking directly at Nai. "Yes, sir?" Nai bit his lips, his eyes flickered with annoyance when Lucas didn't look at him directly. This behaviour, Nai realized they're back to being so formal. Nai looked away; his eyes went to his laptop screen.
"Never mind, just get me coffee." Nai said. Lucas gave a light nod and walked out. The day went on like usual, with the boss and assistant pair back being formal and professional but awkward.
