"Did you hear me?!" Nai's piercing voice boomed in the office. It was loud that the team outside could hear the sound but muffled. Lucas took a breath.
"Yes, sir."
"Then, why you're not answering?"
"I'm jotting down, sir." Lucas looked up. "Is there anything more, sir?"
Nai glared at his assistant. "Finish the data sorting and give me the report before 5pm. And you're going to the meeting with me later." Nai said. Lucas bit his tongue so that he won't curse out. Nai was asking the impossible to him but he knew if he said something against the guy would only backfire him. Damn this abusive stuck-up monster.
"Anything else sir?"
"Coffee. And be quick, don't dilly-dally." Nai said with sarcasm. Lucas grabbed his I-pad tighter. Nai hadn't let it go ever since the incident at the pantry. He had made it clear to Nai that there's no such thing between him and the intern but seemed Nai just liked that one point to mock him.
"Right away, sir. I will take my leave for your coffee." Lucas said and left. He grumbled under his breath as he placed his I-pad on his desk with a thud of his fist onto the table before going to the pantry.
Few teammates including Lisa near Lucas' desk startled by the sound. Lisa's eyes followed Lucas' movement towards the pantry. She sighed.
"I think our boss is just ridiculous. Hadn't he torture P'Lucas enough?" Lisa muttered under her breath. One of them heard her and sighed nodding as well.
"P'Kin, it's not going better." Tee whispered to Kin. Kin exhaled.
"I don't know too, nong. But please, you don't do anything okay? If you tried to stand up for P'Lucas, I'm afraid it's only going to get worse." Kin whispered back.
"Why?"
"Well, someone could make conclusion that you're protecting your boyfriend, like that." Kin whispered, kindly explained to the clueless intern. Tee formed an O.
"But I feel bad for P'Lucas."
Kin sighed. "I am too, but we could only be with him giving him support. You can do that, right?" Kin said. Tee nodded.
Lucas in the pantry was making the coffee real fast. He didn't want to give a point to that tyranny of the boss to scold him again. He's beyond tired and had no will to fight against the guy at the moment. Not when he got an impossible task now. Before 5pm and I had to sit in the 1-hour meeting. That guy really unreasonable. Maybe that's why you're single, no one likes you, asshole.
Lucas rolled his eyes as he picked the coffee mug. He's done with the coffee and entered Nai's office again. "Your coffee, sir. Please excuse me." Lucas said in one breath while placing the mug and walking out from the room.
Nai glanced at the coffee and then the closed door. He just scoffed. "So annoying."
