"Nan. You're home early." Nan startled when he opened the door and came inside. He didn't expect anyone to be home as he finished his work earlier and came back earlier than his usual hour.

"P'Yim." Nan greeted. Yim smiled.

It happened that after the other week which Nan came to sleepover at Tee's place, Yim had talked out Nan to just stay with them until Nan's returning to the dorm. Yim was worried about Nan's situation thus he persuaded Nan stayed with them. Nan at first refused but when he went back to his house to take some of his stuff for few days sleepover, his parents were arguing again and this time his name was in the hot discussion.

(Flashback)

"Your son is now in university. He could live on his own. Why we're still in this marriage?" The man said. The lady stared at the man.

"Aren't you the one who can't lose your position? The one who is suffering more was me." The lady snarled.

"Don't try to compare."

"I have long ago given up and told you I'm fine to divorce, you're the one who didn't want to let me go. Yet, always go around sleep with your mistresses. I know we don't love each other but I at least don't want to have a cheating husband."

"Shut up."

"You shut up. As you said, Nan is a big boy now, he can live on his own. But you're not even ready to let go your position, thus the marriage." The lady sneered and turned to walk away. She then saw Nan, her son standing at the door. "Nan." She also noticed her son's friend was standing behind him.

"So, am I the reason you guys not divorcing all this while?" Nan asked. The man turned when he heard the voice.

"Nan."

"Let me tell you. I have long ago given up on both of you. Yes, I can live my own now. Just divorce. This dysfunctional family was no longer I consider as family. This family house? It's just a prison to me and I believe to mae also. So, man up and just divorce. The heritance? I don't care. I think you're the only one who cared about it, khun." Nan stared at the man.

"If I don't keep this marriage, do you think you can even go to university now?" The man asked staring. Nan chuckled emptily.

"Yeah, I know. So, I'm the reason, right? Now I can work and pay for myself. What's more you wait for? Just do one thing to release us all from this suffering." Nan said looking at the man before turning to the lady. "I don't know if I still have the love for both of you as a son but I still wish for you to have your own happiness." Nan said and bowed slightly. He then walked towards his room.

Tee was stunned but only could bow towards the two before going after Nan. "Nan."

Nan was crying when Tee found him in the room. "Tee... I can stay with you and P'Yim, right?"

Tee moved closer and hugged Nan. "Of course, Ai'Nan. P'Yim had been offering you to stay, of course you can." Nan just nodded weakly and hugged Tee. He cried a bit and Tee let him. Tee knew despite everything Nan had been going through with his family and his word earlier, facing the fact that his parents will separate is saddening.

(End of flashback)

"Nan?" Nan startled when Yim touched his shoulder. Yim looked at Nan worriedly. "Are you okay?" Nan just realized he had lost in his thought after he came to sit with Yim.

"I'm okay, sorry P', just lost in thought." Yim just smiled.

"Mai bpen rai. But if there's anything, tell me, okay?"
