ADIA
Houston, Texas
Verse One, Chapter Six

"What do you mean?" Adia was sitting in front of the bank teller with a confused look on her face. She had come when they first opened in an attempt to miss the line. Now she was sitting here trying to get her money out when the bank was telling her that she couldn't. "My grandmother set that account up for me I've been putting money in there for years so what are you talking about I can't get it out?"

"Well, ma'am um it looks like somebody has already come and taken all of the money out."

"What? Who the fuck took all my shit?" She yelled catching the attention of some of the people inside the bank.

"It looks like here on your account that you and Ms. Brownlee, Monroe Brownlee can access the account an-"

"Monroe took my money?" When the bank teller nodded Adia stood up and stormed out of the bank immediately calling her mother's phone.

"Yes?"

"You took my fucking money out the bank?" She yelled slamming her car door as she got in. "Why would you do that?"

"My mother left me that money and I can take it out whenever I want." Monroe's mother was injured in an accident which lead to a big lawsuit. She set up three bank accounts when the girls were little to make sure that when they get a certain age they could get it if they needed it. At that time Monroe was a good person and a mother just trying to make it so their grandmother had no problem putting her name on the accounts as well in case they needed the money before the girls got a certain age. Now Monroe was taking advantage of that.

"Why the fuck would you do that?" She screamed louder feeling a vein on her neck pop out. On the other end of the phone, Monroe began to laugh saying how she didn't have to share that money because it was her mother who got hurt and her name was also on the account so she could do what she wants. She was saying how it was just as much her money as it was Adia's.

Adia ended up hanging up the phone in Monroe's face and pulling over to cry. She couldn't understand why her mom was being so evil to her she didn't do anything to deserve this. She was trying to set Adia up for failure. Monroe knew she had no money and she knew that she was staying in hotels and that money that she made from The Diamond Party would soon run out.

"This some bullshit!" She screamed hitting the steering wheel. Pulling herself together she drove to the nearest liquor store and bought herself a 1.75 liter of Bacardi rum popping the top off and taking a drink as soon as she bought it.

"Damn baby at least wait until you get outside," The cashier laughed as she walked out of the store the bell on top of the door ringing loudly. She kept the bottle in between her legs as she drove back to the hotel, drinking every time she didn't see a car too close to her. Liquor was the only thing that was helping her at this time even singing wasn't doing it for her. She needed to feel something more besides the anger she felt towards her mother.

Falling back into the bed she closed her eyes feeling warmth all over her body as the liquor began to set deep in her stomach. All she could think about was what was she going to do now? She had a plan to get that money and jump-start her life and now all of that was ruined. And all because her mother was an evil bitch. Feeling her body began to shake in anger she rose up and grabbed her phone. She never answered Boss when he said that they needed to talk but now she didn't care what anyone had to say and she wanted to hurt her mother in the same way that she was hurt. She knew her mother was in love with Boss. She loved his dirty draws and always prayed that he would one day leave his wife for her. And just knowing that it made Adia call him.
