ADIA
Los Angeles, California
Verse One, Chapter Eleven

Leaving the hospital was a surreal feeling. Adia couldn't believe that she had a whole child inside of her and didn't know. Her sisters wanted to stay with her to make sure that she was okay but she just wanted to be alone. After all the events that had recently happened in her life, she didn't know what to do next. Adia couldn't even focus on anything except her mouth watering for a drink stronger than water. Her doctor had told her not to have anything to drink for a while but she couldn't stay sober.

Just as she went to grab the phone that sat beside her bed to order a drink, her cellphone began to ring. She looked over at it seeing that Africa was calling her. Adia smiled quickly picking up the phone, she had missed her friend even though she had only been gone a day. Africa was just a breath of fresh air and made her feel like she could actually do something with her life besides being drunk all the time.

"Hello?" She sang placing the phone on speaker.

"Hey, bitch. Give me all the details did you meet Kasir?"

"Yes-"

"What happened? Did you sing for him? Is he cutting you a deal?" Adia laughed loudly listening to Africa rant about Kasir. This was exactly what she needed to get her mind off of what she was going through. She didn't want to tell Africa about the baby because that would only make her sad. So they continued to talk about Kasir.

"We danced actually. I wanted to talk to him about getting a deal but he didn't want to talk about business, he said." She refrained from telling her about the little sexual encounter that they had. She didn't plan on telling anyone about that.

"So what that's it? Oh no, you need to find him, girl."

"I don't know about that." Truthfully Adia never wanted to see Kasir again. Things would be too awkward between them and if he wanted to talk about what happened she knew she would freak out. She was sure that he had probably told all of his friends what had happened and that he probably thought she was easy. And honestly, with enough liquor in her system, she was.

"Adia we talked about this. Whatever nervousness you have you need to let it go. Don't ruin another chance because this might be your last." Running her slightly ashy hand across the white covers Adia sighed to herself. Africa was right. Adia had already ruined two chances and Kasir didn't seem like the type of man to keep handing them out. Whatever she was going through had to be put aside, she had business to handle.

After getting off the phone with Africa Adia took a shower, did her makeup in a soft matte finish, and put on clothes that she felt were business attire while still looking fashionable. She had talked to Aaliyah and found out that Kasir and Trouble were in the studio working about 10 minutes from where she was.

Her leg shook in nervousness as she sat in the back of her ordered UBER. She tucked a half-full Aquafina water bottle in between her legs that also shook because of the movements from her. She had no idea what she was going to say to him or what she was even doing going. Honestly, Adia didn't think the whole idea of going to the studio to meet him out. This was probably a horrible idea but there was no turning back as the driver pulled into the parking lot of Heatz Studios.

She thanked and paid him then stepped out of the deep blue Honda Civic. Her white sandals matching her white-painted toes hit the pavement lightly with every step she took. She wrapped her hand around the bronze doorknob and pulled but it didn't open. Just as she went to pull again a voice came out of nowhere scaring her.
