ADIA
Los Angeles, California
Verse One, Chapter Twelve"You want a freak, freak, freak, freak, freak
Ooh, get a freak, freak, freak, freak, freak
You want a freak, freak, freak, freak, freak
Oh, I'm a freak, freak, freak, freak, freak"Adia sang in her bathroom mirror. She was getting ready for her performance opening for Kasir. She had thrown up twice and almost talked herself out of actually going up on stage until her sisters screamed at her to get it together. Africa had even come to support her and as happy as it made Adia she was so scared she wanted to puke again.
"Just breathe," She sniffed reaching over and grabbing the open bottle of Tequila that sat on her counter. She knew that she wasn't supposed to be getting drunk but there was no way in hell she felt like she could perform sober. Feeling the burn in her throat made her smile as the liquor rested in her belly. It felt amazing.
"Adia!" She heard Africa call out to her. Quickly she snatched one of the towels she had used when she got out of the shower up and threw it on top of the bottle to conceal it. She told Africa that she cut back on drinking and she knew that if Africa knew the truth she would never hear the end of it and that's the last thing she needed at this moment.
"You look so good," Adia smiled at her words as she finished up her makeup. "You nervous?"
"Not anymore." The alcohol made all of her nerves go away. She was ready to get on stage and prove just how special and different she was. She hadn't talked to Kasir since he told her that he wanted her to perform. Someone from his team reached out and gave her the address and the time that she needed to be there. They didn't offer her a car or anything but she wasn't too concerned about it.
"Your sisters are downstairs. You ready?" Glancing at her body in the mirror Adia nodded. She wore a white sequence jumpsuit that revealed every curve in her body along with white 6-inch heels that made her feel like she was walking on clouds. Adia didn't know if it was just the liquor but she felt incredibly sexy, and nobody could tell her that she wasn't.
"Okay, I'll be out in a second I just have to pee real quick." After Africa left giving Adia her privacy she took the rest of her Tequila and chugged it as quickly as she could without getting sick.
"Fuck!" She hissed feeling the pain as the liquid went down. After everything had settled she walked out of the bathroom and left out with Africa who was waiting outside the door. The entire ride there her sisters babbled about how excited they were while Adia just sat back with her head resting on the headrest. She didn't have anything to say, all she wanted to do was get up on stage.
They had finally made it to the packed at the full capacity venue and went to the back where they all got out. As soon as Adia stepped out of the car she was greeted by the smiling face of a short white woman with long blue hair.
"Adia right?" Adia nodded glancing at her sisters for comfort. "I'm Missy come right in there's so much we have to go over," She grabbed Adia's arm and hurried her inside. She looked back to see a man talking to her sisters and Africa and then lead them somewhere else.
"Good luck!" Angel screamed as she was lead off.
"Don't worry they have VIP seats but since it's so packed back here they can't be here right now. Are you hungry? Thirsty? We can get you whatever you need?"
