AIDA
Los Angeles, California
Verse One, Chapter Ten

Adia couldn't stop bouncing her leg in nervousness as she sat next to Kasir and watched him pour her some Remy Martin X.O in a red solo cup. She smiled a thank you when he handed it to her. A part of her felt so out of place in between all the people she felt like she didn't belong.

"I just want to apologize," She spoke causing Kasir's low eyes to land on her. She felt like she had to say something to ease the awkward tension between them and that was the first thing to fly out of her mouth. "For you know not showing up to dance for you those two times."

"Oh yeah," He smiled almost making her moan out loud. Kasir was honestly one of if not the most attractive man she has ever seen and had the pleasure of talking to in her life. And it wasn't just his looks. Her attraction to him was in the way he walked, the way he talked, how he carried himself, how much money he had, how powerful he was there were just so many things about Kasir Carter that made her heart skip a beat. She didn't want to come off as a groupie though so she played it cool all the while freaking out on the inside.

"Some things came up both times and I kinda fumbled my bag huh?"

"Yeah, you did," He nodded as she took a sip of her alcohol. "I just assumed that you didn't want to make no money but I see the way you're dressed that you came to party." She froze a bit as his big hands rested on her bare thigh. "Come dance for me," He leaned back in his seat opening his legs a bit to give her room. She was completely taken back by him demanding that she dance for him. Although she didn't come for that she didn't want to let yet another opportunity pass her by. But she was confused.

"Wait right here?" She asked glancing around and noticing the hungry stares that she got from some men in the section along with some women giving her the stank face and some just looking in curiosity.

"You work in a strip club don't you?"

"I used to yeah, but," She stopped herself as the realization of what he said set it. "Wait what is that supposed to mean? Just because I worked in a club that means that I'm okay doing just anything? And I wasn't a dancer at that club I was a bartender." She regretted the words as soon as they flew out of her mouth but she couldn't stop them.

"Oh shit!" A man that stood behind the couch that they were on laughed loudly. She kept her eyes on Kasir though and noticed that he didn't react to her instead he turned to the man and mumbled something that she couldn't hear but the guy seemed to hear perfectly because he said a quick apology and left.

"Look that's not what I meant," Kasir sat up coming closer to Adia. "My bad for it coming out that way," She couldn't believe that he had apologized instead of throwing her out. She knew for sure that she just ruined her chances again but it looked like she was in the clear. It felt good sticking up for herself though she couldn't lie about that. Especially to someone so powerful.

"What I meant was there's really nowhere that we could go to be alone besides my place or yours. And you don't seem like the type of girl that would appreciate me saying that. I still want my dance though so," He sat back once more nodding his head in the direction in front of him and it made her scared more than anything. But she pushed all of that down, threw back the rest of what was in her cup, and stood up. She stood in between Kasir's open legs and began to sway to the music rap music that was playing. She only knew one or two songs by Trouble so it was kinda hard for her to catch the rhythm and plus all of the eyes on her immediately made her stiff.
