Chapter 3: A New Friend

Turns out that Neontra only had one class with all of her sisters. She was left alone when she attended her other classes. Neontra remembered submitting the application for her and all of her sisters but she never excepted them to be accepted in.

As she walked into her first period class, the teacher and the students had their attention on her. Neontra was not use to this type of attention. She noticed the teacher was a regular Pokémon which brought a wave of relief to Neontra. She didn't want to admit it but she was glad that the teachers weren't mythical or legendary Pokémon. The teacher was a bird Pokémon with black feathers and red stripes on its tail and wings. It looked like she had purple eye shadow and she had a white bun on the top of her head. She pointed her wing towards an empty seat next to a bipedal avian. Reluctantly, Neontra sat in the empty seat next to the bird. Neontra got a good look at the Pokémon that was sitting on the left side of her. The Pokémon had hot pink feather on the top half of its body and it had purple feathers that looked like a shirt. Neontra felt the Pokémon's gaze on her as she tried to pay attention in class. There was nothing to pay attention to until the bell rang. This caused the teacher to turn around with such grace then she opened the class with a nice statement.
"Hello everyone, my name is Ms. Cinder and I will be your art teacher for this entire school year."
Neontra watched as the teacher told the student next to her to give formal introduction. The bipedal avian rose to their feet and let out a long sigh before speaking.
"My name is Elizabeth and I love fashion. One goal I hope to achieve by the end of this year is to expand on my fashion design skills."
After her introduction she sat down. Neontra wanted to clap but she noticed the teacher pointing at her. My turn...ALREADY! She thought as she rose from her seat and looked at the class. Though most Pokémon would be scared to introduce themselves Neontra was perfectly fine with it.
"My name is Neontra and I have always loved to sing. I haven't figured out my goal for this year yet but I'm sure I'll find one and achieve it by the end of this year."

The teacher smiled at Neontra before she pointed at another Pokémon to continue the introductions. Neontra was just glad to get the introductions over with. Elizabeth placed her head on her hand as she waited for the Pokemon to finish. Neontra noticed that Elizabeth was a shiny Aromatisse and that she was staring at a discolored Sylveon. Neontra flicked her tail to grab Elizabeth's attention. At first, Neontra thought it wasn't going to work but after a while, Elizabeth turned her head towards Neontra. "What do you want?" said Elizabeth with a bit of attitude in her voice. Neontra rolled her eyes before she spoke, "I was going to ask you if you wanted to be my friend after all, I'm new here."
Elizabeth placed her hand on Neontra's desk before she answered, "Look, I know your new here but I don't know your name."  Neontra told Elizabeth her name and the two of them talked for the remainder of class.

Though Neontra only had one class with her sisters, she seemed to have every other class with Elizabeth. This allowed the two of them to get along swimmingly. It was still the first day of school but Neontra and Elizabeth's friendship was stronger than ever.
It was officially lunch time for Neontra. She had sat through two classes already but it felt like she had only been there for thirty minutes. The cafeteria was huge! There were tons of rectangular tables across the entire room. The lunch lines were packed with students as they all tried to get their favorite food. Neontra exited the line then she gazed around the room. She had no idea were to sit and she couldn't locate her sisters in the cafeteria. Maybe they had a different lunch. Neontra was about to sit at a isolated table when she heard a similar voice.
"Hey over here!" Shouted Elizabeth as she waved her hand to get Neontra's attention. Neontra noticed her and padded over to the table that her new friend was sitting at.
This year was turning out to be amazing so far.
