Chapter 11: Break Time!

Neontra stood silently as Solar continued to congratulate Totem for his awesome victory.

"It took you more than one turn to defeat her... shame on you!" said Hannah as she stood next to the golden Meowstic. That was a pretty harsh comment but Totem just laughed it off and said, "You would have taken thirty minutes to defeat her."
Neontra let out a long sigh. Was she really ready for this? This was her dream right? She gazed at the battle field for a while then she headed towards the exit.
"HEY! Where are you going Neontra?" asked Solar as she rushed over to her newest friend.
"Oh I was just leaving," answered the green Espeon as she continued to make her way towards the exit.
"You can't leave! I need someone to battle! Come on don't you want to battle me?!" shouted Solar which caused little lightning bolts to burst out of her cheeks. Neontra flicked her tail in annoyance.
"Is that all I am to you?! Another poké to battle?!" asked Neontra but before Solar could answer Neontra left the building.
"Totem! Do something!" said Solar as she hovered around the whole stadium. Totem mumbled something then he dashed out of the stadium.

"WHY DID I JUST SAY THAT?!!!" shouted Neontra as she walked towards the football field. She decided to find her siblings and start practicing with them again. Neontra thought that battling was her calling but she couldn't handle the fact of attacking a helpless Pokemon with no hesitation. As she was padding towards the football field she bumped into some poké.
"Sorry, sorry. I didn't see you there," she said then she looked at the Pokémon and noticed it was Totem.
"Let me guess, Solar sent you?" asked Neontra as she attempted to go around him. Totem blocked her and said, "Unfortunately yes, she still wants to battle you."
Neontra rolled her eyes but she honestly didn't hate Solar, she loved how energetic the Raichu was. Totem twitched his tail before he spoke, "You know that you're not allowed to forfeit a training match right? You still have to battle even if you don't want to."
Neontra's mouth dropped. Is that why not many Pokémon sighed up for this?  Neontra flicked her tail and started to head towards the battle stadium. "Well I might as well head back even though I don't wanna battle." mewed Neontra. When she spoke those words she saw a smile appear on Totem's face.
Wow he looks kinda cute... wait what am I thinking? Neontra shook her head and with that the two of them headed towards the Battle Stadium.

"You're back!!" said Solar as she crashed into Neontra. Totem pushed Solar off of Neontra then he went over to Hannah.
Hannah smirked once Totem sat next to her. The little Snivy motioned her tail towards Neontra and whispered, "If you like her so much why don't you ask her out?"
Totem shook his head, "You think I like the new girl? I have higher standards than that."
Hannah face palmed herself and mumbled, "Idiot."
"Break-times over kids! Now it's time for more battles! Next one the list is... Solar and Neontra!"
Neontra watched as Solar floated to the battle field with such grace for a little while then she went to the opposite side of Solar. Neontra noticed that Solar looked completely different. The Raichu wasn't smiling instead she had the face of a crazy female.
What have I gotten myself into?
