Chapter 20: A Date??

Neontra ran towards the establishment as she tried not to let anxiety overtake her better judgement. Once she arrived she entered the highly lit building before looking around for her friend. She saw Elizabeth sitting across from a Sylveon who was chatting with Totem, the golden Meowstic.  Neontra quickly padded over to them and sat down next to her best friend. 

"Nice dress girl!" said Elizabeth as she scanned her friends dress with awe from all of the sparkles it had. Neontra smiled then she noticed the Sylveon was from her class as well.

"Hey you're Robin right?" asked Neontra when she got into the perfect position to sit comfertably, her fluffy dress giving her a little extra seat cusion. 

"Yeah I'm Robin what's your name? " asked the shiny Sylveon as he stretched a ribbon out for Neontra to shake. 

"My name is Neontra" answered the green Espeon as she shook the extended ribbon. Totem was staring at a waitress who happened to be... You guessed it, a female Meowstic. The waitress came over and asked the group of four for their orders.

"I would like a calzone please." Said Neontra with her gaze on the female Meowstic. Totem order a chicken Alfredo meal while Elizabeth order a whole salad with barbeque chicken wings. Neontra tilted her head as she thought about what Elizabeth ordered.

Isn't that cannibalism? Pondered Neontra as Robin ordered his meal. He was having a medium rare hamburger with lots of cheese. The female Meowstic wrote all of their orders down before she headed back and disappeared behind the counter. 

"Well while we are waiting for our food, let's talk about our lives!" Said Elizabeth with such enthusiasm. Neontra looked at Totem who was brushing his front fluff of hair on his head, it made him look like a model. She tried not to stare as he continued to do so while Elizabeth went on and on about how cute Robin was. Robin was trying to sit still as he took in every comment that Elizabeth has given him. 

 "So that is why I want to date you! Now why do you want to date me?" Asked Elizabeth when she finished her speech. Robin cleared his throat before he proclaimed , "Don't get me wrong, you're a very beautiful young lady but I'm only here because my friend dared me to ask you out, not because I wanted to date you."

Elizabeth frowned at his words but she nodded her head signaling that she understood what he was saying.

 "I knew someone as handsome as you would never settle for someone like me.... Oh well time to move on." Said Elizabeth and with that, the female Meowstic came with their orders .

 "Here you go! I'll tell you the price once you're done eating and don't even try to leave without paying!" Said the Meowstic but before she left she looked at Neontra and stated, "That is a lovely dress" and with that, she left. The four of them dove into their food for they were some hungry teenagers. Neontra stared at her food for a while after eating some of it. She wasn't all that hungry but she didn't want to waste the food either so she slowly are her calzone. Totem finished his meal first and noticed that everyone was still eating their meals. Elizabeth was halfway done while Robin was almost done. However Neontra had barely touched her calzone. She pushed it away before putting her head on her paws. She looked like a cute dog begging for some quality time. Totem tilted his head then he stood up from the table. 

"I'll pay for the food." He stated but before he left Robin stood up, stated that he would pay for him and Elizabeth and followed Totem. Neontra watched them leave until they were out of sight then she scooted closer to Elizabeth.

"Help me!" She whispered into the Aromatisse's ear. Elizabeth rolled her eyes before giggling. 

 "Sorry, I set you up! I know you have a crush on Totem but you just won't admit it so I dragged you two here and now you are forced to confess to him!" Declared Elizabeth as she stood up with her wings on her hips. Just as she said that, the boys came back and sat in their original spots. 

 "Oh Robin~, can we talk alone, outside?" Asked Elizabeth and Neontra knew exactly what she was doing, trying to leave her alone with Totem! 

Not on my watch! Thought Neontra and she was about to say can she join but Robin agreed and the two of them were gone. 

Great just great! You are officially done for! Screamed Neontra internally as she slammed her head on the table. Totem placed his paw on her paw which caused her to hold up within seconds. 

"DON'T TOUCH MY PAW!" Said Neontra as she felt her heart beat increase which caused her to tell a little bit lightheaded. 

" Sorry I just thought that you were going to repeat the same action so in order to prevent you from further hurting yourself, I decided that I would touch your paw which caused an automatic reaction. " stated Totem while he eyed Neontra's tail which was wagging around wildly. 

Totem smiled at Neontra then he said, "You should probably finish that before I force it down your throat." Neontra giggled which caused Totem to feel his heart beat stop. She grabbed her food, finished it in a couple of bits then she stood up. 

"Hey, you wanna walk around the plaza? I heard the place looks lovely at night." Stated Totem and Neontra agreed with his statement. The two of them exited the building and headed towards the mini plaza near the school. Neontra watched as Totem's tails moved up and down as he kept a steady pace. Neontra mumbled, " So cute" under her breath when the two of them reached the plaza. 

It was so beautiful!

There where neon lights on every corner of the little plaza. There were Pokémon dancing in the town square while some of them were taking pictures near the fountain in the middle of the place. Neontra's eyes lit up as she grabbed Totem's paw and ran towards a little Ice cream shop in the plaza. 

Totem smiled at the Espeon as he willingly let her drag him towards the center of the square. She opened the door to the Ice cream shop and decided to order a icecream for two! A little alolan Vulpix gave her the Ice cream and the two of them sat on the fountain, enjoying the Ice cream.
