Chapter 19: Huh?!

Neontra sat in her assign seat and her desk partner was Elizabeth. The Aromatisse brushed her feathers which caused some of them to look a bit more appealing. The teacher went up to the board before she began explaining the prompt on the board. Elizabeth wasn't paying attention while Neontra was consistently jotting notes down in a little notebook. As she was doing so, she would sometimes get some weird glances from other students.
Do they not take notes? She pondered as she continued writing what the teachers was writing. On the other hand, Totem was doing the exact same action that Neontra was doing, taking notes. The teacher stopped writing on the board, now she was passing around a worksheet. 

"Since none of you were taking notes I assume that all of you know what I' talking about, so here's the homework!" said the Froslass. Neontra tilted her head when she realized that her teacher also works at the fancy restaurant. 
Cool  thought Neontra as her teacher placed a paper on her desk. Elizabeth stopped filing her nails when the worksheet was placed right in front her. Elizabeth took out a pencil and began to complete questions on the worksheet. Neontra started as well but for some odd reason she finished the worksheet in only three minutes. She noticed that Elizabeth was bitting her pencil as her friend pondered on the question. 

"Hey do you need help?" asked Neontra as she looked at Elizabeth whose eyes where on the paper. 

 "Yes! I do!" She exclaimed then she turned her seat towards Neontra and the Espeon helped her out. 

Elizabeth finished in about twenty minutes so the two girls had some time to discuss important topics. Elizabeth looked at Neontra before she spoke, "Sooo, I just got asked out by someone and I was wondering if you wanna go on a double date with me." 

 Neontra's mouth dropped. 

A double date? Her? No way!

 "Sure!" Blurted out Neontra even though her mind was screaming in disapproval. This would be Neontra's first date but who was she being paired with? Neontra was going to ask Elizabeth but the bell rang and that put and end to the period.

It was now lunchtime and Neontra was freaking out. She was excited but worried about her first date. As she headed over to her friends she noticed that Hannah was on the table, a plastic fork in her paw. 

"I will one day become the greatest artist in the whole world!" Proclaimed the Snivy as she jumped off the table and landed in her seat. 

Neontra sat near Totem as she listened to Solar go on and on about her school day so far. Totem was filling in a Sudoku puzzle as he ate a chicken sandwich. Neontra watched as he completed the game but she knew that he did the calculations wrong. She was about to tell him but he noticed, changed his mistakes which made his answers prefect. 

"Yeah I messed up" he mumbled as his eyes landed on Neontra who flinched at his words. She made eye contact with him but she quickly moved her gaze because she felt her cheeks heating up. 

"So, Elizabeth told me she's going on a date!" Said Solar as she placed her paw on the table, a smirk slowly appearing on her face. Solar looked at Totem who rolled his eyes. 

"She's forcing me to join her! Apparently she want to have a double date and I can't know who I'll be paired with until she tells me." Said Totem as he stretched his arms.
PAIRED WITH! Oh no, Oh no no no! He's paired with me! Thought Neontra as she stuffed her food down her mouth and jetted away from her friends.
Solar watched as Neontra left and let out a little chuckle. Hannah smiled too but Totem was totally confused at their actions.

School was about over but there was still fifteen minutes left in the school day. Neontra and her sisters were singing the notes that the teacher told them to practice. They were the only ones who knew the whole song while everyone else was struggling on the second verse. 

"Alright! I've heard enough! That's all for today!" Said the teacher as she sat down in her desk and wrote something down on a blank piece of paper. Adrianna smiled as she sat down in her seat next to Larquisha.

"We did awesome" whispered Nevaeh as she moved her paws into a comfortable position. Larquisha agreed with her sister while Adrianna started to sing some of the song. Her sisters joined in and that concluded the school day. 

Elizabeth told Neontra all about the guy who asked her out. Neontra was tuning out as Elizabeth swooned over this guy. She now knew the place where the double date would happen but she was freaking out. Totem was the person who she would have to go on a date with?! She was feeling funny as she waved goodbye to Elizabeth and headed to her dorm room. Her sisters were already there and she had to tell them about her date tonight.

"Guys I have something to tell you" said Neontra which caused her sisters to stop and listen. She told them about her double date and her sisters started to squeal! They were waiting for the day that there sister would accept a date proposal. They all started to run around their dorm and pick out various outfits for their sister.

"I think she should wear a dress!" Shouted Larquisha but Adrianna disagreed, " She should wear a blouse! " "She needs a bow!" Said Nevaeh.

What have I gotten myself into? Thought Neontra as she watched her sisters pick it various outfits to try on. There where long dresses, short dresses, skirts, blouses, bows, head bands, earrings, and all types of shoes. She loves her sisters but Neontra thought that they where going a bit overboard. Neontra would have to choose and outfit and once she did that, she would have to leave her sisters. Neontra picked up various items, put them on, and headed out on her first date.
