Just looking out on the day,

꧁----꧂

"I couldn't run fast, and I wasn't as clever as the rest of you are. But once I leave, I'll do my best. And I can with Little Bunny's help."

Once the children went back inside, they had to say their greetings to their sibling, Conny, who was being adopted that day.

"Conny..." Don mumbled with a sad look on his face. Conny acknowledged his expression.

"I don't wanna leave you. I wanna stay right here!" Conny began to cry.

"Conny... I'll miss you!" Tears formed in Don's eyes. [Name] noticed that Emma started to cry as well.

Another one bites the dust.

[Name] stood in between Don and Emma, who were both crying, and patted their backs. She went to the supply room to go do her chores.

As she walked into the dining room with Emma, they immediately went to do their tasks. As [Name] was on the verge of starting, she heard a screech.

"Conny! You left Little Bunny?" Emma ran to a table and held the plushie that had always been by Conny's side. Norman and Gilda walked in on Emma and [Name]. The [h/c] walked over to where Emma was.

"Little Bunny? But Conny's gone!" Gilda stated.

"What should we do?"

"Do you think there's still time?" [Name] asked.

"There is." Someone walked into the dining room. Ray stood emotionless.

"Yeah, I can see from the window that the lights on the gate were still on. Mom hasn't come back yet either. So I don't think Conny has left just yet."

"Let's go, [Name]!" Emma exclaimed. [Name] felt uneasy with the thought of going to the gate. After the conversation they had as kids, she always tried to remain as far from it as possible.

"Erm, I think I'm gonna stay here and finish my chores. Maybe you can go with..." [Name] and Norman knew the exact words that were gonna come out of her mouth. Norman shook his head violently behind Emma.

"Norman! Norman will go with you. Right?" The albino sighed and stuck a cheery smile on his face.

"Yep, sure will." Emma and Norman both jogged out of the dining room.

[Name] thought that Norman's crush on Emma was completely obvious, but Emma was too clouded up in her own world to recognize it. The girl shifted next to Ray.

"He's a lost cause." [Name] mocked.

"They both are."

Both of them watched through the window from afar as Emma and Norman both ran towards the gate. As [Name] was about to continue to do her chores, the ravenette cut her off.
