[Name] gasped in fear, "Ray!" The can was quickly emptied.
Ray slightly chuckled as his arm fell back down to his side, "Pretty smart thinking, huh? I'm gonna burn to ash on my shipment date. Mom can't abandon me!" He dropped the can onto the floor, letting its cluttering noises ring through their ears. Ray had terrifying and menacing smile on his face.
"I've been waiting for this day. I decided this years ago, and it's finally time to act it out. This is my retaliation." [Name] and Emma both stared at the suicidal boy with terror.
"You know, when it came to all that studying, I was never really into it. Regardless, I did it to improve my value, and I wanted it to be the highest possible."
[Name]'s heart dropped. Were all those reading sessions meaningless? Perhaps out of pity? As much as she wanted them to mean something, she would have to accept it sooner or later.
"For twelve years, I've been the feast they've all been waiting for. Tonight I'm taking that away. Right before the anticipated harvest." He began to stomp forward with that same maniac smile.
"Don't think you can eat me! I won't give you that satisfaction! Food? Product? Yeah right! This is gonna show them all! That I'm human!"
The boy had lost all sanity in the girl's eyes. He was practically going crazy.
"Ray," [Name] mumbled in fear.
The satisfaction left the boy's face as he slumped down, looking at the ground, "I'm sorry, I have to do this, it's the best way. The only way. I've watched so many of my siblings die over the years. I used them, and each one of them was a good kid. They were so kind and care-free."
[Name] reached forward before Ray could say anything else, "Wait-!"
He stopped her, "Don't move." He looked up to face them both, "Listen up, you two only have one chance. So make this work. Norman and I gave our lives for this. I'm begging you, don't waste it." He left them speechless as he looked toward the table on his right.
"Catch." He threw a book toward [Name], who was closest to him. She opened the book and was met with the photographs he took within the House. The first two were the pictures he took of herself, as well as the one of Emma and Norman.
"This is from..."
Emma, who was peaking at the book from behind, began to tear up, making audible noises. The clock then stroke 12, signaling that it was now officially Ray's birthday. Before the girls knew it, the sound of a match being lit put them out of their trances. They put their attention on the ravenette in front of them, who was holding the match.
