So let's set out to see, love.

[Name] sat on her usual branch near the House. Ray sat by the trunk reading his book. Emma purposefully kicked a blue ball into the forest, making it look accidental. [Name] hopped off of her branch and walked towards the direction Emma was headed in. Ray followed as well. They all met up with Norman in the forest near the wall.
"Yeah they were in a place no one would notice." Ray stated.
"I never knew about a mark from when they took our blood. And it disappears that quickly?" Norman asked.
"Yeah. I knew, but I never even considered that would be it. Sorry." Emma apologized.
Norman spread out his arms, "No, you did great, Emma! We now know the location and the size of the device. Onto the next step."
[Name] held up a finger, "The next step is..." Everyone else held their fingers up in sync.
"How to break it."
"Let's see. If we try to make an incision..." Norman suggested.
[Name] cut him off, "But Mom might go through our hair and see it."
"She'd catch on." Norman pointed out as well.
Ray added, "You're right. Well, whether or not we can break it the transmitters, the tracking devices implanted in us aren't that useful in the grand scheme of things."
"What? How do you figure that?"
[Name] decided to take this one, "The signal's so crude it can't specify an individual. Without checking, she can't tell where we are. Even if we get close to the gate or walls, it doesn't notify her."
"But, we still have them."
"Yes, but why? They must be confident they can come after us. As long as the tracking device is intact." Ray continued to leave crumbs for the two to figure out.
"Hold on," Norman cut in. "So that means if it were to send a notification then it'll only be after it's been destroyed?"
"That's a definite possibility."
"What do you guys mean?"
At this point, [Name] started to worry for Emma's thick head. "Weren't you listening? An alarm probably goes off when the trackers are broken."
"So mom would find out instantly?"
"If a notification function really exists."
Norman stepped forward, "But knowing that mom purposefully clued us in on the existence of the devices, we can't ignore the risk."
