Kio wakes up earlier than Shoto this time. She yawns loudly and stretches her legs, shifting the blankets around loudly. She looks over to Shoto, squeezing his hand lightly to make sure he hasn't once again disappeared in the night.

He is fast asleep facing her, his hand loosely in hers. She breathes in deeply and sits up, letting go of the boy's hand.

She doesn't know how long she is going to be here, but she guesses she will be going to school with the boy tomorrow, which she may need to explain to people but she is also fine with not taking the bus.

'Ha ha, Bus Boy.'

Ekio leans against the wall and pulls the blankets up for Shoto, making sure not to wake him up. She isn't sure what is going to happen next, but she needs to move back in with herself again at some point, as much as she would love to go to sleep holding Shoto's hand every night, it isn't a plausible next step.

A loud ring comes from her bag in the cupboard. She curses and crawls over the sleeping boy, hoping he doesn't wake up to Ekio ass in his face.

Unluckily, he wakes up as she lands on the floor, still bee-lining for the phone. He watches her, rolling around to face her. She snatches her bag up and rummages around for her phone, swiping it up and answering the call.

"Hello?" She whispers, looking towards Shoto who has his eyebrows raised at her.

He sits up and yawns, making her absolutely melt on the inside.

"Where are you, Kio?" Xian's voice comes through the phone, making her purse her lips together.

"What do you mean?" Ekio replies, standing up and moving back towards the bed, crawling over Shoto's legs and sitting against the wall again.

"I have been to your apartment three days in a row and you still aren't home. Where are you?"

"I'm not telling you where I am. I am fine, just not at home." Ekio replies, glancing towards the dual boy next to her, who is listening carefully to her conversation.

"Tell me where you are." Xian starts to sound irritated, not liking her less than cooperative mood.

"No, I'm fine and that's all you need to know." Ekio starts to get angry at her brother, not understanding why he can't just leave her alone.

He has left her alone for the last three years, why is he so interested in her all of a sudden? She hasn't done anything to gain his attention, hadn't reached out to him or anything similar. So why is he interested in her and where she is?

"Ekio–"

"Goodbye Xian." Ekio ends the call as always, and tosses her phone onto the end on the bed. "Sorry for waking you up."

Shoto just nods and stands up, ready to start the day, Ekio, who is now riled up and in a bad mood, is too.

"Let's spar." She says, making Shoto look back at her weirdly.

"I don't think that is a good idea."

"I don't care, we are sparing. Just avoid my leg."

Ekio and Shoto stand across the room from each other. It turns out that the Todoroki have their own little training room attached to their house. One would figure but still, rich people.

They have laid out some ground rules so if Fuyumi comes in here she doesn't blow her head off. No Quirks, no right leg. That way Ekio is in the clear and it is fair to everyone.

Kinda.

Ekio takes a deep breath and runs forward, her entire body creaking and aching but she enjoys the thrill of the fight more than she dislikes the pain of being in one.
