"Faster," she huffs, "we need to move faster."

"We will make it," he replies. "Don't worry, we will make it in time."

Silence takes over the area as people prepare for the final hit. No one is stupid enough to run forward and try to stop them, it would be a suicide mission. No one would be able to survive the hit from the two Quirks, only the Quirk holders themselves.

Ekio feels a tick over in her Quirk, signalling that she is ready. She doesn't wait for her brother, she won't be able to tell what happens after this.

She will watch her Quirk be consumed by flames, then follow shortly after.

Shoto's eyes go wide as he is pulled back from the danger, wrestling along with Bakugo away from the girl he has learned to love over the past months.

A scream rips from her throat as her Quirk fires off, her hand ripping apart from the strength of it, skin snapping and blood spraying.

Xian releases a moment later, flames erupting from both hands as he snaps his second arm up for power. The flames spread quickly, racing forward as if they are excited to devourer the girl they have been aimed at.

Eyes watch in horror as the two Quirks rush towards each other. It isn't long before Ekio's Quirk becomes invisible, the next stage of mastering her Quirk ironically being achieved in the split moment that everyone wants to watch.

Neither of the siblings moves as their impending dooms race towards them. They have accepted it, and they are going to take it head on. There is a very minuscule chance that their genes will save them, but after everything the two have put their bodies through in the last day, the chances are lower than ever.

They don't have hope, and they are fine with it.

Ekio snaps her eyes shut as she feels the heat on her skin, like the sun on a raging hot day. Xian does the same as the sound of crumbling earth gets closer to him. The last thing they want to see in the faces of those around them. Knowing the disappointment and horror they have caused.

"NO!"

Ignorance is bliss.

'Please don't call,' sadness fills Ekio. 'Please Shoto, Bakugo, don't call for me.'

'Remember me as you like,' Xian can't hear anything.

As the Quirks engulf the two, two figures appear, flashing in front of each of them. People scream out, not being able to believe the idiocy of people to think they can stop the powerful Quirks.

But these people aren't idiots. They are the only people able to save the two.

Arms wrap around Ekio, spinning her around and pulling her into a chest, covering her from the fire. The flames shoot out in different directions, leaving the girl unscathed by them. The large hunched body takes no damage from the Quirk, simply feeling the warmth of it.

A hand is raised in front of Xian, Ekio's Quirk stopping as it meets the hand, immediately dispersing as if it were nothing.

As the two Quirks dissipate into nothing, silence follows, everyone processing what is in front of them and how what they are seeing with their own eyes can be true.

Gasps ring through the air, causing the siblings to be jolted back to reality.

They aren't dead.

Ekio opens her eyes, looking down at the arms wrapped around her. Her eyes go wide, head snapping around to look at who it is, even though she knows who they are already.

Golden eyes meet her's, a soft, emotionless face coming with them. Ekio stares at the face for the moment, making sure what is happening is true before throwing her hands around his neck, his tall stature pulling her feet off the ground.

"Dad," she cries softly.

His eyes go soft as he looks down at his daughter, her small frame being engulfed by his massive one. He hugs her tighter and buries his face into her shoulder as she is doing to him, missing her just as much as she did him.

Xian stares down at his mother, towering over her as she glances at him from the corner of her eyes. He saw her as soon as he opened his eyes and went straight into shock, not knowing how to react to the sudden appearance of the woman.

She notices the look on his face and sighs. She slowly raises her hand to his head, placing it softly on the back of it and pulling him towards her. He falls to his knees, arms limp beside him. She pulls his head to her shoulder, holding her son for the first time in years.

"I hate you," he mumbles to her.

"I know Xian," Mitsu whispers back, running her fingers through his hair softly in a stroking motion. "I know."

Ekio continues to cry loudly into her father's shoulder, arms tightening by the second, scared that he will disappear from her again.

The man being squeezed to death stares out into the crowd, eyes cold and glaring now, a world away from how they looked when gazing at the girl in his arms.

The reporter wants to say something, to keep his watchers engaged, but his throat has closed up as he sees the gaze of the Villain, scared of what may happen if he mentions anything about them.

Everyone looks at the scene, pieces slowly but surely falling into place. These people, a Villain and a Hero have kids. They have two kids, and those two kids happen to be Ekio and Xian. No one speaks, not wanting to. Even if they did want to, what would they say?

Mitsu looks up from Xian, looking over at her husband and daughter. Xian follows her gaze, looking at the crying Ekio on Itsuki's shoulder.

"Now," the silence is broken by her sharp voice. "What have I said about you two fighting?"

Ekio looks up at the sound of her mother.

Heterochromatic eyes meet Heterochromatic.
