chapter 23- Somebody else

I had a great morning with Gray and the lovebirds but decided I needed to go home to get my stuff in order.

Besides Gray was getting sick because of Luna being around so much, he was extremely allergic to her.

I cleaned my house which felt amazing and therapeutic. My agent called me when I was done

"Hey (y/n), just wanted to tell you, THO ROLE IS YOURS! they loved the swimming tape!"

"Omg Lucy that's amazing! I'm gonna be a freaking mermaid in the pirates of the caribbean!! I'm gonna meet Johnny freaking Deep!!"

"I know, it's so exciting (y/n)! And the shooting is gonna be here in LA so it's perfect. But we do need to talk about something else. You've been inactive on social media. And I get it, it's hard dating someone publicly"

"I didn't even look to be honest Lucy, I kinda just shut it down. It was too much. We didn't even come out as a couple and there was so much stuff"

"Yeah I know, but do you think you can post something? You don't have to address anything you don't want but you gained so many followers and it's a bad look to stop posting now"

I didn't like this conversation at all, I never cared about how things "look" I just like to do my own thing

"I get you Lucy but for now I'm not sure I will... "

"It's up to you (y/n) but as your agent, I think that's a big mistake. People followed you to see you, and now you're hiding"

"I'll think about it" I said knowing damn well my mind wasn't going to change

"Thank you (y/n), also, I was talking to Jack about the series David and you got in Netflix. You're gonna have to shoot the movie and the series at the same time. The movie is the priority but we'll have to manage your time for you to do both, I think you should get an assistant. I have this girl-"

"Lucy could I ask someone else before you involve anyone else? I know someone and they're kinda getting started in acting but don't have much going on and I trust her a lot. She won't be permanent but for now I would like her to be my assistant" I hated the idea of a stranger going through my stuff

"Yeah alright well, let me know how that goes. Congrats (y/n), I'm very happy things are going this good!"

After the call I decided to invite Kris to hang out. According to her the twins were bummed about it but that just made it even better for us.

She came to my house and brought vegan ice cream which I was thrilled about

"So Kris I was thinking- and feel free to say no, it's really not a big deal- but you know how I just got into a bunch of projects right?"

"Omg I'm scared (y/n) but yeah you have a lot going on!"

"Yeah so, I was thinking maybe you would like to be my assistant, just for now while you're getting started" I was scared she would be offended "cause that way I would have someone I trust helping me out and you would be meeting a bunch of people who could help your career"

"Omg (y/n) really?! I would love to!!" She reacted way better than I expected and hugged me

"Kris I really don't want you to stop your acting career tho, this is just as long as you're free"

"Thank you (y/n), this is so cool! I'm going to be working with you!! And meeting so many cool people"

I was glad she accepted and loved the idea.

"When are you going to tell the boys about the mermaid role? They'll be so happy"

"Well maybe we can go there now and I'll tell them? I really just wanted to ask you about this but now we can go hang out with them. I wanna make the most out of my free time cause in a week I won't have any... And I guess you won't either cause you'll be there with me!"
