Grayson heard me and reached back to hold my hand, reassuring me.
"We don't want trouble, we'll be going now" he said and walked back and I did the same. They were confident steps but I could tell he didn't want to turn his back on the guys.

Then we stared walking normally towards the sand, he grabbed my board and responded to my confused look "don't worry, this is common when I surf unfortunately. I'm sorry he pushed you tho, I had to think twice not to knock him out right there" he put his arm over my shoulder

"Oh don't worry, I'm glad you didn't!" As I said that Gray fell on his side which scared me, I looked back and the same guy had just pushed him. We were now on the sand, he had followed us

"Who are you knocking out now?" He kicked Gray's side making him grunt. I didn't think twice and got I'm front of him "Stop!! We don't want any trouble wtf are you doing?" But he pushed me making me fall on the sand. His friends were running in our direction and got to me first, I was scared but they just picked me off the ground and made sure I was okay. "Please help my friend" I asked him

When I actually looked, it seemed like it was their friend who needed some help. Gray got up and tackled him with some wrestling move I can't really describe. The guy hit the floor and Gray stepped back. I could tell he didn't want to hurt him too much, he was just defending us. He looked at me and asked if I was good and I nodded. The guy started getting up and Gray punched him "I told you not to fucking touch her" and then his friends caught up to them, they didn't even approach Gray. He wasn't being agressive, he was just defending himself and the guys knew that. Instead they approached their friend "wtf dude are you insane?"

Gray turned his back on them this time making sure no one followed him and jogged in my direction "you're hurt" he pointed to my arm that had some scratches I just now noticed. "I'm fine Grayson, you're the one who's hurt." The side of his face was red and swallown, maybe from the fall or maybe the guy punched him when I wasn't looking. His side was also bruised a little.

"I'm okay, let's take care of those scratches, I'm sorry I didn't protect you but please don't ever put yourself in danger for me like that (y/n), he could've hurt you bad" he hugged me and I got kinda mad at him

"You were on the floor and he was kicking you Gray, obviously I was gonna do something. I'm tougher than I look you know?" He chuckled, probably cause my angry face was attached to a small skinny body and it didn't really scare anyone but he still said "oh I know, you're tough" he put his arm over my shoulder again, "but I'm tougher and I'm here to protect you, just accept it" I smiled but noticed his face was really hurt

"Did he punch you?" I touched the area in his face and he flinched "nah he caught me by surprise when he pushed me and I hit my face on the board, but I'm good (y/n) really" he was so calm even after a fight and that calmed me down too. He was so strong not just physically but also mentally and emotionally. He was angry in the moment but then he let it go and that was truly admirable. I kept thinking how crazy this day was tho.

Gray suggested we get some açaí bowls and he pushed the cold thing against his face, but I went and asked for ice in a paper towel and took away his hand, holding the ice myself. I was standing on his left side and he was sitting, while I applied it to the right side of his face. He started leaning and rested his head, the left side, on my stomach. This action gave me mad butterflies and I could tell by how tense he got that he was feeling it too. So I rubbed his back with my other hand to break some tension.

"There I think it's good, it's looking a lot better" I told him and he thanked me. The guys were still at the beach and we could see them from where we were sitting, I was kinda scared that crazy dude would come back but everything went fine. We headed home as we were feeling tired and I felt so relaxed the whole time. Gray's company was so good.

When we got home we told them about our crazy fight and Gray kept telling them how I was able to ride a wave which made me laugh, after all of that that's what he was focusing on.

Then we took showers, Gray let me go first and placed some of his clothes in the sink of his bedroom bathroom, for me to wear so I didn't have to open my bags, as well as a towel he put on the drier so it was warm. That was so cute, when he went to show me I gave him a big hug and thanked him for the day and for these cute things he did. He had the biggest smile on his face when we pulled away but he didn't let go of my waist and I didn't let go of him either. We just looked at eachother with smiles on our faces, his eyes on mine made me warm inside and we were so close. My eyes went down to his lips by mistake and I looked up again just to notice he had done the same. I blushed like mad and we jumped when I heard knocking on his room door.

We let go of eachother and I whispered "thank you once again" and he smiled as he closed the door of the bathroom leaving me there with a racing heart, red cheeks, weak knees and a smile on my face.
